Buying land - maturity rating?

I'm thinking about going Premium and buying a small parcel of mainland, just something to put a small house on. I'm noticing, searching for land, that the Adult rated parcels (which I'm looking at so that I don't have to worry about things like accidentally managing to appear naked, or having furniture with erotic animations, or something) are very expensive compared to Moderate parcels of the same size and prim alotment. So what I'm wondering is, for one, why is that? But more importantly for my purposes - exactly what is allowed on Moderate land for residential purposes? The guidelines on the knowledge base seem to apply largely to businesses, shops, clubs, etc. Can I wander around naked inside my house if I want to? Can I have a bed with a few adult animations as long as it's inside? I'd rather not spend $6000L for an adult parcel if a $1000L moderate parcel will serve my purposes.

P.S. I DON'T want to rent. I want to buy only, and I'd rather not have a skybox, at least as my main space.

Yes, Ariel, I believe that is correct. With a moderate parcel, you may wander around naked inside your house if you so desire. Yes, you may have a bed with a few (or a lot of) adult animations as long as it's inside. I thnk you could even have a hot tub outside with adult animations. Just turn on the privacy feature for your parcel so that nobody can see avatars on your parcel from outside of it.

You may want to consider adult rated parcels however, for peace of mind and potential resale value.

Thank you! I've rented moderate land before, but not mainland, so I wasn't sure. I knew the rules there, but not if the mainland rules were different. I think I'll go with moderate; if I need to, I can always rez a platform at skybox level. I liked my moderate land before, and my house will have a security system to boot out people I don't approve, so between that, the blinds, and turning on the privacy feature, I should be okay, I think.

Thanks again I think the thing I'm most excited about is that I have a cat! Couldn't have pets rezzed under the covenant for the private parcel I rented a while back, but now I can.

on M rated land you can be nude anywhere. The only restriction is public sex and the display of nude photographs and movies (including of course pornographic content, I guess LL consider a study shot of a nude for an artists' class to be pornographic in this context).

If you set the parcel to group access (or otherwise restricted) and set avatars to not be visible from neighbouring parcels, there's no restrictions at all as it's all private
