How can I decrease my avitar lfy speed?

As far as I am aware you can't just make sure you arnt wearing some kind of AO that can increase your flight speed

There's no setting in Preferences or your Debug Settings that will affect flying speed.  However, if you are a moderately skilled scripter you can make a scripted object to sit on that activates your flying animation and uses your keyboard arrow keys for movement.  If you do that, you can make your flying speed whatever you want.  Now that I think of it, I'd be surprised if someone hadn't put something like that on the market.
