can i buy a parcel of mainland and increase its prims?

I wish to puchase some mainland, about 4250 SqM but need more than the std prim allowance (937) is it possible to keep the land small but just pay for more prim use?

No. If you want more prims, you will have to get more land. There is no prim bonus on the mainland, as opposed to private regions where some estate owners do allow more prims than the standard prim count.

No. Unless you have double prim land, prim usage is directly tied to square meters.

4250 is an odd sized parcel so I assume you've found one this size that you wish to purchase. 4250 will give you 1054 prims not 937. For the same tier, $25 per month, you could buy land up to 4608 (4096 + free premium tier 512). You may be able to find a small parcel in the same sim (maybe one thats hard to sell that you can pick up very cheap) that will bring you closer to 4608 without pushing you over. You can then join the lands and collect a few more prims that you can use on your main parcel.
