Why does my login fail with a message that says updating friends list?

Why when I go to login do I get a failure message that reads updating friends list?

You could be timing out if you have a slow Internet connection or if the servers are having to process very long lists of saved information.  I doubt that a huge Friends list would do  that, but it's fairly common for a viewer to time out if you have accumulated a pile of group notifications.  Check under "Firestorm Logs out During Login" here >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_install_crash

This could be an issue with SL. Most regions are experiencing heavy packet loss on the network
