0 Rolig Loon
Charolotte is right on target. "Following" is one of the silly Facebooky features of the web profiles. Open your own profile and click on Settings >>> Privacy. You'll see that one of the last privacy settings in the list is Follow Info. Set its dropdown menu to Nobody and you won't ever be bothered by anyone following you again.
0 Darren Scorpio
You can remove them as said but who cares if they are following you? It does not mean that they are following you everywhere you go, it simply means they have chosen to follow your feeds, if you don't ever use the feeds which very few people use then what's the big deal? 0 Rolig Loon
You're quite right, except that if you don't also set the Post on Your Feed setting to Nobody, you'll have a hoard of people potentially posting garbage on your feed --- which will of course be "followed" by all of the people who are following you. I, for one, would rather opt out of the whole thing. The most satisfying solution I've found is to set all privacy parameters to their most restrictive settings, leave the Interests field blank, and then ignore the whole mess.
