Hello!, sorry if this has been answered before, i couldnt find anything related, so im asking my question here..

I want to make animated / gif eyes but im not sure if i have to do it on prim eyes, or i can make an animated gif image and apply it on my avatar's eyes? Is that possible?

Thank you so much in advance!

To add to Cerise's suggestion, you may not need to use a converted GIF animation at all, depending on exactly what it is mean to do.  Take a look at that wiki page for llSetTextureAnim, paying particular attention to the ROTATE parameter.  If you are trying to get a spinning effect, you can do it by uploading a single TGA or PNG image, applying it to your prim eyeball, and rotating it a few degrees a second.

I'll add one more tip.  You might want to consider using mesh models, instead of regular prim spheres, for your eyeball attachments.  That way, you can UV them in whatever manner would work best for the particular animation you're trying to create.  The way textures wrap around prim spheres insn't particularly well suited for most animations.
