Statements of protest in out profiles

Can we put statements of protest in our profiles against a club or owner of a club who we feel is discriminating against SL members?

In theory, yes. The web profiles are are FB thingy and it seems ToS do not apply there. Just dont do go too far. One never knows if Big Brother is lurking. :matte-motes-evil:

ETA, Plus your profile could not appear in search if it's obviosuly breaking the ToS.

It's probably OK, but you have to ask yourself who is ever going to look at your note.  It sounds like a kind of ineffective bit of drama, IMO.  I'd just move on and find another club. If that one is really bad, it's not likely to survive anyway.

It's possible...but if you do so, you are opening yourself up to a charge of libel.

Here's why:  Even if everything you say is completely true and verifiable, a land owner in SL has a perfect right to decide who is allowed on his or her land, and who is not.  They can exclude you for any reason, or for no reason at all, and be perfectly within their rights.

There are so many clubs and venues within SL.  Spending your time to wage a campaign of opinion against any one of them is, in my opinion, a waste of effort.
