Texture an attached object as a skin

You'd have to draw the texture the same way whoever created your skin did.  You can fake it a little by trying to match the skin color, but you should realize that skin is not monochrome.  It's shaded, like everything else in the world.  Also, skin color changes with the color, intensity, and angle of the light that strikes it, so a match one second will not necessarily look right the next one.  Still, it's the best you can do, and for small areas it's mildly convincing.

Light reflects differently from a prim than it does from the avatar's mesh body.  You should look at how prim feet are textured and tinted to get an idea of how to handle it.  As Rolig said though it won't be an exact match in all lighting conditions.  One way some creators handle do this is to use a tintable sheer gradient right next to the prim part.  For example some creators include socks that you wear that are almost solid where the foot joins the mesh body and fades to transparent as it goes up the calf.  You can then tint the sock to match the foot using the same RBG values.  The result is almost a perfect match.  This would work well though on parts of the body where there is body hair or muscle deliniation as the gradient would obscure those details.
