A "Sneaky" failure in ANS Transactions

Yesterday a customer purchased two products from me along with a few others from other Merchants. My products were delivered and paid for yesterday as well, and the money was transferred to me. However the rest of the products had problems being delivered (the status was stuck as "Being Delivered") and didn't complete until after 9:40am today.

Normally the ANS Transactions are not sent until the full Order is completed, so they weren't sent last night because the Order was still pending. However today when the Order completed, the ANS Transactions weren't sent at all. (Probably because they were for purchases that were completed yesterday even though the Order didn't complete until today.)

I received the Purchase Confirmation email today after the Order completed and it lists the date of the two purchases as today as well ... even though the products were delivered and paid for yesterday.

So ... this is a "sneaky" failure in ANS because the transactions were never sent. I created a JIRA Issue on this bug. It's filed as:

Transaction Delayed past midnight causes failure to post to ANS

That is a sneaky bug. I thought ANS was getting off too easy and that didn't seem fair at all.

Buggery should be an equal opportunity kind of thing.
