Things are pink?

As of late, when ever I log in, some objects are pink. My avatar, some walls, some objects, it doesn't seem to be *everything* but a good chunk of my screen ends up pink.

Now, I did look at previous posts, and I did update my graphics drivers as suggested but it did nothing. I'm running a Nvidia GT 440, and I haven't had this problem until lately. I think the last time I played was the start of July, and it had none of these problems.

If updating your drivers did not do the job, even after you rebooted your computer, go to Preferences >> Graphics and disable Basic Shaders.  Some ATI cards seem to need that extra coaxing. That is a temporary fix at least.  For a more permanent solution update the 12.1 Catalyst driver from http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx?type=2.4.2&product=2.4.2....

The graphics driver issue applies to Radeon cards, not Nvidia ones.  So that isn't it.  Could you maybe have transparent texture visibility enabled?  Hit CTRL+ALT+T to toggle it.
