How do I move to another rental home?

I no longer want my present rental home. How do I move to another rental home?

If it's a Linden Home,....

1. Stand in the home

2. Take all of your belongings back to inventory, one at a time (Do NOT return them to yourself in a lump)

3. Click on World >> About Land >> General >> Abandon Land

Then go register for a new Linden Home, the same way you did with this one.

If you are NOT renting a Linden Home, then just pick up your stuff and walk away.  When your rental period runs out, the lease will lapse and you will no longer have rights there.  You can always rent a new spot anywhere, even if you keep the old lease active.

Here is a fun fact....

 

If it is a linden home, you can actually get a 512m parcel located on mainland if you don't want a house. Same prim limit, but without prefab houses.
