Texture at 1 prim boards

When I rezz a 1 prim board, and try to put one of my uploaded texture on it, the texture is only shown if I make the board white. And the the texture is then shown at all sides.

Please tell me how to make a black 1 prim board, with my texture just at the front - and leaves the other sides black.?

In the edit window, check "select face,"  click on the face you want to color or texture, then move on to the next face.

You can also just drag the texture to the face you want textured only

To do what you want:

1) Make the whole thing black

2) Use 'select face' to make the front face white

3) Apply your texture to the white face

That should make a black board with your texture showing on your selected face
