how do I get into the game after I downloaded it

i got in yesterday but i can not find the button to get into the game again.... sadly

If you're using Windows 7, it should have installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLife, I think  You could navigate there, locate SecondLife.exe and create a desktop shortcut.

When you download the viewer, it installs automatically and puts a shortcut on your desktop,  Just click on it, the same way you would start anything on your desktop.

If you manually downloaded SecondLife, then navigate to your download folder [sorry, you need to find this yourself] and run the installation program. Look for the installation program named something like this:

Second_Life_3-3-3-260300_Setup

Double click on that program.

After that, a nice shiny icon will be on your desktop.
