Ela Talaj
I don't believe it can be done unless via a bot
emmettcullen93
a bot?
Sassy Romano
Just an idea but since the object is to tie the use of the locker to a L$300 fee which involves group membership, why not invert the problem and make the group L$300 to join and if you're in the group you can use the locker? (Depends on what the locker is intended to do of course but either way it seems like just a trigger for a group joining fee?)
PeterCanessa Oh
'bot' = robot = computer-controlled avatar. Just like a normal avatar rather than an 'object' but there's a program behind it, not a real human. They are usually pretty limited but are useful for things that we (avatars) can do but that objects and viewers can't. A common example is giving group-joining invitations. There are a few people who have written bot applications but they are all generally pretty expensive.
Ela Talaj
a bot is a text client installed on your PC just like a graphic client (viewer). There are several on the market, including Metabolt, Pikkabot (or something close), etc. Can find via search in the Marketplace. The text client is an avatar so must have an account like a regular user, but it can run unattended that's why it is called a bot. A region server makes no distinction between a bot and an "live" avatar. That's why among other things a bot can auto-invite to a group (an LSL script cannot). In your scheme an object with a script in it would accept L$300 or whatever payment and then send a message to the bot, upon receiving the msg, the bot will auto-invite to group.
