In the absence of any information about your computer or about what happens when you "crash", all we can do is guess and point you to a good set of generic solutions >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_run_crash

You may also want to look at Nalates's blog for suggestions about troubleshooting your Internet connection >>> http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/  As she points out, bandwidth is almost never the issue.  Reliability is.

Finally, you may want to consider the possibility that your computer is getting dangerously hot and shutting down your viewer to keep from damaging expensive components.  Again, it's impossible to diagnose without knowing anything about your machine and whether it was designed to handle the heavy graphics demands of SL, and without knowing how much dust and cat hair is inside your computer, but it's worth considering.

Rolig's advice is correct - in order to provide help via this service it's necessary to obtain better information about your PC. You can do this by updating your question with the information from your viewer from the Help menu > About.

It's also useful to provide statistics about your connection if you expect help in diagnosing a problem. You can use a service such as Speedtest.net to get these statistics for you, if you don't know how.

Shutting down/crashing from overheating is very common, especially if your computer isn't commonly used for high-definition, high-load 3D graphics. It's also likely that if you're trying to listen to streaming audio (music streams) and Second Life at the same time, your network capability may fail - especially if you're using an old or out-of-date wireless connection.

Please note that Jeffrey1 has a poor understanding of this service. He's very, very wrong to say that you shouldn't post information about your computer here - it's actually the only way we'll be able to help with hardware issues. :D

once again helper asking for real world information.

this is not supported by linden labs, it is not right, and you are putting your self at risk, do not give out real life information and report the avatar for asking you to do that.
