We are not lawyers.  We are all SL residents like you.  If you want a legal opinion, ask your own lawyer what this definition from the Linden Lab Skill Gaming Policy means, and ask whether it applies to your game:

“Skill Game” refers to any game: 1) whose outcome is determined by skill and is not contingent, in whole or in material part, upon chance; 2) requires or permits the payment of Linden Dollars to play; 3) provides a payout in Linden Dollars; and 4) is legally authorized by applicable United States and international law.

My own non-legal opinion is that Sploders of any kind fit the definition.  But that's only my opinion.

I have a slightly different opinion from Rolig...but I'm not a lawyer or a Linden Lab employee either.

IMO, sploders are not skill games.  They are gambling, pure and simple, and are prohibited under the Wagering Policy.  However, the policy is very loosely enforced, when it comes to sploders, so a lot of clubs still have them.
