Making rain

What is the best way to make rain on your land without having it inside buildings ? To have more control where it rains

as far i know the only way to keep rain out is keep it out of range, physical behaviour of water and buildings are different than in rl a roof is only for hiding and decor no protection against weather

Exactly right.  Adjust the lifetime of the rain particles and the area that they are emitted over, and move the emitters so that they are outside your building.
