The 360 viewer does take 360 pics but I can't find a way to view them on my PC. Any suggestions?

I haven't tried the 360 viewer myself, but if I were faced with six images like that, my first inclination would be to load them all into Photoshop and stitch them together side to side.  That's because I don't read the instructions in the wiki, though. :smileywink:  According to those instructions, you ought to be able to set up a temporary web server and use a bit of software provided by Linden Lab to view your panorama -- at least until a viewer with the "final" version of this feature is released. Inara Pey has written an even more detailed set of instructions in her blog.

Currently you need to run the "Web viewer" on a local server to view them.

Instructions are here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/360_Snapshots#Viewing_Your_Images

Inara has more detailed instructions here: https://modemworld.me/2016/10/26/hands-on-second-life-360-degree-snapshot-viewer/

The latest version of the web viewer is buggy though & won't display the images on some systems.

The previous version of the web viewer should work ok.

You could also stitch the images together yourself using something like Hugin.

The 360 snapshot viewer is still early alpha, you wont need to faff about with the local server or Hugin once the feature is finished.

If you do get a stitched image saved on your computer, GoPro VR player will play spherical stictches and it's free: http://www.kolor.com/gopro-vr-player/download/

There are also several 360 image HUDs available on the Marketplace if you really want to try this but can't get the web viewer to work.

Inara did a review of my personal favorite here: https://modemworld.me/2016/10/13/the-camera-panoramic-360-photo-fun-in-second-life/

Shots taken with that HUD are pretty easy to stitich in Hugin and can be uploaded to Flickr, which recognises them as 360 VR images & displays them in 3d view automatically.

You can even create "Little Planet" shots.
