Don't double-click furniture items, that will cause you to wear them. Instead, just drag them from your inventory onto where you want to place it.

Sounds like you are somehow attaching it (choosing the option to wear or add it) rather than to rez it.

When you select it in your inventory, take care to drag it onto the floor and not onto your avatar.   Take care, too, to drag it and not simply to click or double-click it.

Hi Alshay,

You are "Wear"ing, "Add"ing or double-clicking your furniture rather than dragging it from inventory onto the ground. And to do that, you must either own or rent land or have permission (perhaps from a friend) to rez objects on someone else's land.
