  1. In my other catwalk divas post I present pictures made with avatars which I built by myself. The images below show ladies and friends which were so kind to model for me. Many are still around, some left SL and some take a break because of the Corona virus. Btw, that I can publish their pictures was part of the deal. Let's start with Atropine. I like to build fantasy collages with an erotic touch. Well, I can't post x-rated here. I do also fantasy stamps and movie posters. Some are made in times bevor mesh bodies. Horrible times. I notice upload is limited. Pity, so I can't show more recent ones in this thread.
  2. No it is not completely dead. The threads which you are mentioning are keeping it doubtless alive. But the replies there are invisible. Well, I have 2 posts at the moment. I bet if I post two or three more - and I have material enough to do that - many will think like ...woah, this guy must be greedy for attention. And that would be understandable. When only my name is to read and nobody else opens new threads.
  3. Well, you know I'm about 13 years in Second Life. While some residents use to spent much time in the forums and to post. Others like me prefer to communicate inworld. That explains the low number of my posts. Anway, I just posted a simple suggestion and hoped that residents perhaps talk about the pro and contras. Ok. I read you contras. But in fact this forum is almost dead and could need some new ideas. I doesn't think it's a way out to say, oh well, we must accept it and to advice people to post somewhere else.
  4. Well, one would think a forum about art is the the right place for artists to introduce their work and themselves. But if you prefer to do it at random places in the community, your choice.
  5. A fanasy collage. Just to mention it I don't use photo shop to edit pictures. An old PhotoImpact X3 and a program called Affinity are doing the same job for me.
  6. Cute Ella. I photograph SL ladies and friends as well. But often my ideas are so complicate that it is easier to build an avatar that serves as model.
  7. Another avatar made with BOM and used to built a fantasy collage.
  8. Alyssa - pin up style. An avatar built with a mesh body + classic skin + BOM.
  9. Just an idea. A forum without posts is boring. I could imagine that the option to present themselves and to be seen motivates residents to show their work.
  10. It's a cute skin. :) I think BoM, bakes on mesh, is easier to use than appliers. But that is probably a matter of personal taste.
  11. Hi, thanks for your helpful reply. Well, I'm not not new in the forum business. I know it can be a mine field. Actually I don't want to gain reputation or popularity. I got enough of both. I like to show my pictures and to take a look at other SL photographers work. Feedback is very welcome. I wonder, if there are more photographer which use self-built avatars as models. Why I don't photograph SL residents? I do also. But since BOM it is just so easy to build unique characters. You mentioned hard rules. Any examples? I guess nudity is a no go?
  12. Hi. Interesting posts. Thank you. Well, neither are my pictures raw nor they show my avatar. I just introduce some samples of my work. I mean the forum title is Art, Music, Photography. Am I at the wrong place?
  13. Or a cute runaway girl. Also a classic skin on a mesh body. All my avatars have classic heads btw.
  14. Actually the pictures can look nice and crisp on your HD. But after upload to SL they get a blurry touch. That's because they get compressed and resized. What Nalates wrote if you upload high resolution pictures, the quality loss might be not so strong.
  15. Or a random nurse. All avatars are made with a low cost classic skin on a mesh body. And no, I don't use photoshop.
  16. My passion is to build avatars with BOM and then I picture them. Megan for example. I love BOM because it makes it possible to change looks in no time in photo shootings.
  17. Hi. Is somewhere shown what personal environment I'm using? And if I don't want to use it anymore, how can I deactivate it. I thought it would be like an attachment and that it is listed in the outfit folder. But is not.
  18. Measured by the amount of feedback this doesn't seem to be a matter of burning interest. Well, too bad.
