This sounds like a good thing. There would be too many possibilities for exploits otherwise.
Yes I agree although I have tried a couple of times to work it out! There's a camper at Paislee in maint now for a while so I expect that to come up again once another one enters the system.

Also, this provides more cautionary tales for attemping release-and-catch. If more than one property has to be available for an abandon to show up on the land page, then you really only have a 50% chance, at most, of getting the one you abandon.
yes - this is why the alt to main is risky - you don't know if you have the maint parcel or the trigger parcel and therefore what order they will come up on the land page ... could be immediately one after the other or a wait for the trigger (the trigger I think comes first out) so would mean in some cases having to refresh past the first one you see on the land page in order to catch the maint parcel you want or vice versa. I think ITS KIND OF TRICKY TO WORK OUT

Morning my great hunters!!! Early here in Europe, and three different campers have gone through (around 12:00 am). I guess it's abandons, from people getting ready for new releases.
I am sure some of us will get new homes this week, there are several areas that look almost ready to be released. I'm waiting for a nice camper facing a lake/river, fingers crossed!!!
It is Paislee Springs and Quitmann campers ... also good morning! yesterday two different campers in Copper Kettle and one in Whackamole that I have seen - Quitmannout of the loop but Paislee currently still in

So, I discovered something today. I happened to catch a house earlier while I was bored talking on the phone, and didn't return to the computer until late tonight. It was in Penitent Beach, perfectly nice place but I'm not actually looking for anything right now, so I went down the street a ways and abandoned it. I still had the land page up in the browser (I'd gone there to get a TP to the parcel), so I hit back arrow and bam, there was a house!
I brought up About Land on the parcel, and it still showed the parcel as being in maintenance. Hmmm.
I went ahead and claimed the house, and it was the same one. I didn't know they stayed in maintenance even while they were on the land page! I always thought they would show on About Land as just belonging to Governor Linden, like houses do when they're first released. Live and learn!
I abandoned it again and Chloe, you got it lol!
Yes it went back in and I caught the same Whackamole camper twice now locked out for a few hours!

I am doing some grocery shopping for the next week now. I am having a good feeling about this place in Wiggle, and I would really like it to find the right person who will love it. Not have it flipped in and out of the abandonment pool.
I am posting again in here when I'm back. If someone sends me a private message, it is fine.
I LIKE that - it lends itself to your own waterfalls and pool in the back - someone wanting super privacy in a traditional will take to it. The landscaping at the front is well done as well!

Omg @Chloe Dolores why didn't you tell me you were going to abandon River Run D=
My heart sank so hard when went by there today.
Also somebody please get that Fofita house out of the rotation. PLEASE. UGH.
Sorry - I decided no more abandon announcing after the alt and I knew lots of people were interested and only one could get it etc. I wish you luck for trad releases coming up!

Very well said, this is definitely the best way to think
TY! But also those trad releases were gettting very stressy - upcoming camper releases look to be less so - little gambles on what we find more suitable

i know what you mean, its nice to stop at one but i think in my head i feel like there always could be better out there but then again it could be worse lol...i got on yesterday on Paislee Springs but the house was behind other houses so i didnt't like that there wasnt curb appeal and i love a green lot as well,i am not into beachy or sandy lots...
If you replace "better" in your mind with "enjoyable" then it will fit with how you want to experience your parcel. There are no better or worse just what sits well with you! You will always be on the prowl if you are looking for "better" . If it's not quite giving you the feeling then keep looking (if you have the time and energy to look!!)

Oh, but no more alts! I have learnt my lesson the long and expensive way!

What is everyone's idea of the perfect spot, sometimes i wonder if i am just too picky with some things that i would like but just wondering what everyone else is looking for?
If they have built it or are building it then it exists and you can have it. It is not being picky to me it is taking full advantage of your membership and the rules. Shopping around. And there is a lot of people choosing not to shop around that are saying "why are you shopping around?" and basically you are because you can until you feel happy. Anyone can do this but they choose not to. And even then you may change your mind and keep hopping about and I am a great example of that. My perfect spot is green. I wanted more allowance so I bustle between traditionals and campers. A camper with more allowance with sunset over water... well, they have built this so I can. More allowance ... compromise! Why just stop at the first go? Unless you absolutely love the first parcel you get. I loved the trad parcel I let go today - beautiful. I'll let go of it in a heartbeat if I see what they are building is more to my liking I will gamble on that.....

Traditionals and campers are there now. I am actually going back to campers the new releases are too tempting and the traditionals are far too pedestrian for my taste. Locked out again however ...

I think generally the houseboats are too closely packed. They not only spoil each other's view but also create lots of LAG.
I changed my original HB on the Squichy Pickle for another one that is next to a lighthouse (behind me though on a neighbouring region). LOvely view but since I did that everything takes AGES to rezz. Was not as bad at the old location.
My first houseboat was at Floaton as well - similar problem for me on the old system. I find the houseboats too close together in some areas and more pleasing in others - Gangway, Seal Point and Hammerhead Light were easy to live in, no problems

I just abandoned my Camper in Backhill - Congratulations to whoever got it.
I decided I want to try for a Houseboat.....may be homeless for a while - but that is ok.
Friday if you can look you will have better chance than than the weekend. I'm not sure new HB releases are ready so it will lessen the odds. More choice will arise as the HB releases draw near again!! Hope you find the one you want!!

I loved it but the keeper is in Toad Hollow mainly because I love that name, reminds me of the Wind in the Willows book, so I have named it Wild Wood Haven and I have a rat, moles and a Toad in my garden. Just need a badger now 😃
I originate from the English lake district so I understand that very much!

Going to let this gorgeous house on Shanty go at 04.30am SL time. I have one I love already elsewhere. This house is in a lovely position on a coast road front with water back and front.

if you look into the soil in the backyard by those large rocks, Chloe, you should see my footprints left there. lolol I stood on that spot for a couple weeks.. trying to send good mojo that it would be mine. I LOVED it. The day River Run released and I saw someone's name (mindy something) appear on 'my' about land.. I was so disappointed. lol I am super happy for you! that is a beee U tee ful spot! I did end up late that night getting a River Run abandon but it just wasn't the same. I've been searching since for the place that feels like my SL home. Found it last weekend with my alt. Darn it! I wanted my main avi to land 'that' spot so I can just get back to work and stop refreshing and retire the alt. It was an abandon on Rocky Heights on Friday night. I even got a very pretty parcel on Gentle Grove yesterday but released it in hopes for a Rocky Heights abandon. I'm too chicken to release the Rocky Heights spot my alt has and try to catch it with my main. Not doing that... no way.. no how! hahaha
Aww I sympathise with you over the alt to main switch. I caught Light of Aurelia on an alt and Gangway and then realised I needed to go main or nothing. Good Bury was main but it was all sand and its hard to keep a track of seasons on sand. For all the rivers, ponds and seas I've seen this has a bit of everything and I think had been admired many times over before the release. I'm going to treasure it! Who knows what new themes will pop up and charm us all though?!

Both were beautiful. The HB was Seal point with open sea to the front and a canal along one side.
That's the one! Second ever release I went for!

That's an amazing spot!! I do actually prefer water in the backyard. You can be relaxing there, and make it part of the garden. Lovely location, don't let it go!!!!
1 minute ago, IIINADIANNEIII said:And the front is at the roadside? that I actually great,I have seen many like this in Hammond Park and would love it...What location is this?
I am sticking here because I've done a long four month journey every type of home and lots of different regions. I was in my houseboat phase when I sat this release out it is River Run!!
