Good chance that he has a spyware and/or "spammer" already know the password for the email to see what new password he changed for his SL account. Tell him stop joinning 3rd party stuff with same email and same password. This happens a lot for non-geek users.

Weekend (Friday + Saturday + Sunday) = Lag party at SL's database server. No matter what sim you go to, even in a empty sim, you will be affected by database's heavy traffic when it come to loading data, such as inventory items, textures, clothes, shape, etc etc. All sims have their own server for non-IM chat and physic. Database is on another server.

A lot of times shape failed to load during high traffic load from SL's database, regardless what sim you're in. Weekends tend to have those high traffic. Easier way to get shape loaded is to log out for a moment, about 5 to 10 minutes and then return.
