16 and 17 year olds have been allowed on the main grid since the Teen Grid closed. AFAIK there have been no reported major problems with them on the main grid since their transition to the main grid in 2011. Anything younger, well... they would have to be restricted to either PG sims or a special area of the grid with safety measures. I'm not opposed to the idea - SL has a lot of content you wouldn't want them to see (i.e. Zindra), but MORE content that there is no reason they shouldn't see. Teens are creative and many use Minecraft, so I don't see why they shouldn't have some sort of access to SL's creative tools - even in a restricted and somewhat policed environment. But if SL is struggling to retain adult users, I'm not sure how many teens would be interested with so many other choices now, such as more and more free-to-play MMO games. And land is too expensive even for most adults now, so many of them would be limited to working in sandboxes.

All land owners would love tier reductions but as one who has waited a long time and is struggling to keep his 5 year old sim going in the current climate, my hopes for this aren't too high. The introduction of a half-price sim (half prims, but everything else the same) could help stop the rot of declining private region numbers, though. Maybe it will be an announcement of the Lindens becoming more involved again in-world, and listening to community feedback after a long time.

Second time in a few days the world has become an unuseable mess, wonder what's going on. Just tried to send someone some money and my account balance dropped to -$1L, woot...

It seems to be grid-wide, I'm having similar problems and some people I know are. Lag of all kinds, something is wrong.

I'm looking at my Marketplace transaction history right now (as a seller) and the top six are "Being Delivered" and have been for a long time, meaning a failure is likely. This will mean I probably lose around L$1200 in sales as from my experience people do not go back and buy them a second time on Marketplace. I really wish they could sort these problems, they are far too common and considering how heavily Marketplace is promoted (which has led to many closing up in-world and setting down their businesses exclusively on Marketplace) it should be a priority IMO.
