  3. *snickers* The OP's logic nicely compressed n just a few lines makes mi dizzy and feel a srong urge for some gin tonic.
  4. Just what I thought, Peter. But I have to admit, the opening he turned to was quite subtle - I was tempted to believe our well known (and dearly missed) troll friend wnted a serious discussiin here. But, alas, the third reply revealed the ugly grimace. Keep it up Ernesto - some hundret more attemps and you may have learned to pull off a real amusing troll atack
  5. Yes and no - I'd say: It depends on what you are doing - not just on how much sales you have. If you do a bit of customer intelligence and marketing, a database helps a lot - even at a few sales a day. If it's just to keep track, I totally agree.
  6. I wonder why you would use E-Mail to keep records - I write such structured data in a database, there are many advantages to using a db for that.
  7. I would think the same - it's just one function your compiler doesn't like - and that's a farly new one. And it compiles in the SL grid quite nicely.
  8. You can try the Commerce forum or the inworld groups SL Scripters' Market or MYSQL PHP Interfacing RL to SL - just two of the many scripting related groups that are kind of active and my be useful for you.
  9. How sick in the head can a person get - you don't know - this post gives you an impression. How did I survie the days the forums were closed?
  10. From what you describe, the developper would have to have some good knowledge of LSL (I assume here that the game as such is already developed) with experiene in http communucations, php (or a similar scripting language which may also depend on the server you are using or running - php is most likely to be found there), some HTML (and most likely JavaScript) knowledge - the imortance of which depends on how elaborate your website is going to be, and finally SQL (the deatils again depend on the DB server you are going to use).
  11. So, if I understand crrectly, you want a follower - not something that is attached to you. You don't really need to sense you all the time - all you have to do is to do an llGetObjectDetails in certain intervals and use llMoveToTarget or just llSetPos to move to the desired position. You want to add a certain offset - but basically, that's all.
  12. I don't think it's possible to do what you want. This function (and llDetectedGroup as well) only checks against the group the containing object. I can't even think of a good workaround - sine I can't think of a way to extract the active group of an avatar.
  13. This may take a while, I'm afraid - since you can use your land (even though with restrictions) you won't make it to any high priority level. Keep on ARing your neighbour is the best advice - and keep on buggiing your neighbour - if needs be, use a little gentle force - or as the they always do in The Godfather "I made him an offer he can't refuse."
