Don't these Linden "Hunts" compete with in-world merchant-sponsored hunts?
Only in time that users need to put in on the hunts. Typically, the Swaginator hunts give Mole made items that many want, especially if they are not high LI items. Whereas, the vast majority of stuff that I collect from the various other inworld hunts gets trashed. The only inworld hunts that are typically worthwhile are the ones for just a single specific store, instead of the grid-wide ones. Similarly, I'd rather do a hunt that gives me a new Boopie than 98% of the inworld grid-wide hunts.

Join us as we run to get that special Mole Gift!
Hopefully the "special Mole Gift" will be available to all, whether we made it to the crab crawl or not. I couldn't get my boss to agree to let me go.

In the transcript of Abnor's opening speech, was this line: "And this Wednesday will be the Crab Crawl Run Race, where you can get your own special limited edition Crab Boopie!"
I hope it's just a different path to the same boopie. There's limited (you need to take part at some point during the month) and limited (you must be there at noon on this day). It's nice if getting them is open to people regardless of timezones and work schedules.
Anyway, #5 and #13 are unaccounted for right now.
Oh I really, really hope they are not doing a Boopie that can only be gotten by doing the race. That definitely seems extremely unfair to those whose schedules will not allow them to participate in that race.
There is no way my boss is going to allow me to skip work so that I can go do a crab race in a virtual world so that I can get a virtual collector item.
ETA: However, after seeing another post, it does sound like they might really be giving out a special Boopie just to the race participants. If so, I am highly disappointed in whoever made that decision.

Today's Delight: Tomorrow I head out on a 1.5 week vacation/holiday. Just in time - I'm in desperate need of an attitude fix for work.

Our neighborhood gas station/mini-mart has a huge selection of healthy choices. The have a display of fresh fruit! We have the best little store in town.
Ours has a section that they label as "fresh fruit", but it looks anything but fresh.

The USA invented the 24/7 stores. Just saying....
But, unlike much of Europe (at least based on what I hear), the vast majority of people are not in walking distance to a store and between kids & jobs, many can still only get to the store once a week.

True - not to mention the option of only rendering friends.
I guess the whole "me being invisible" thing is more so that I don't render in pieces to others that haven't enabled some of those options.

After my company went through a merger, first everyone "over 58" was given a "voluntary separation package", basically they stay until a specific date this year and get a nice payoff
I'd love it if my company offered an early retirement / voluntary package. I'd be jumping up and down raising my hand.
We had 3 or 4 rounds of non-voluntary layoffs in the last 5-6 weeks. I wasn't really ever worried, just because of what my current position is, but it still made the whole environment unsettling.- 1

Peeve: Even though I work on the engineering side of the house, I still sometimes have to sit in on the calls when we do a release install....... and I really hate that. I'm only there in case folks have issues or if they all of a sudden can't manage to read the install instructions. This has been one of those nights. At least I can read my kindle through most of the work stuff.

It was said by LL that the L1 homes will be discounued shortly after Bellesaria opened. It has been almost 5 years now. Does LL still plan to get rid of the L1 homes or not, and if so when? Also how many of them are accoupied?
Per the last time Patch commented on it -- been a while -- Yes, they still want them to go away. I don't think there is a current timeline though.
As to how many are occupied, I don't think any of us know the answer to that and LL has never been too willing to provide many specific numbers related to Linden Homes, old or new.

Does SL have a policy on invisible avatars? There are situations where an invisible avatar can gain an unfair advantage.
How does an invisible avatar -- with nametag still showing -- have an unfair advantage over anything (well, other than performance, which is the whole reason I use an invisible avatar at crowded locations)?

And, I've often thought (with zero proof), not entirely sanitary?
While it "might" be questionable how sanitary the tank cover and lid cover are, rugs around the toilet base are definitely breeding grounds.
Then there are the people that carpet bathrooms. Not only is it disgusting around the toilet base, but the carpet gets moldy all along the edge of the tub.

Unfortunately, in the US, fresh fruits and vegetables are often not only expensive (relative to many other foods in the store), but most will not last a full week and many people do not have the time and/or ability to go to the store multiple times during the week.

Funny how when men have to do dishes they only do the ones they used yet when women have to do the dishes we have to wash everyone's including the pots and pans. 😉
More often than not, this is true. I am lucky though - my husband does the dishes most of the time.
We established a rule early in our relationship: Whoever cooks, the other one cleans up. I do most of the cooking, so he is usually the dish elf.

OMG NO - Any light in the middle of the night ends up blinding me, not to mention that it would also disrupt my husband's sleep (though if I'm falling into the toilet because he left the seat up, he's going to be more than slightly disrupted)

I will put it up every time I use it and I have no problem with that . You shouldn't have a problem putting it down every time you use it . There shall be no preparations for the next user. >:c
The toilet seat and lid should both always be down. Otherwise, it just looks tacky.
