Problem is so many people run SL on non-gaming hardware.
We could debate all day about whether or not SL is a game (one for another topic) but reality is that for SL to perform well, you need gaming spec hardware but more importantly, a dedicated GPU (graphics card) as others have mentioned.

The vehicle physics in SL are so bad I am really surprised people bother, especially when there's so many games that do it well. The only exception to that is boats, but then boats typically don't handle very well in real life either.

Thanks, but it does have a capacity of 1404 prims, so prims shouldn't be quite so much of an issue.

I think SL needs to be better in how it handles clients with dodgy network connectivity. For example, if my WiFI drops out for several seconds or more, I will get disconnected from SL. Sure, this makes sense on the face of it, but it would be better if the viewer could reconnect automatically once network connectivity becomes available on the client device.
You could argue that residents should fix their underlying internet connections, sure but in reality we probably all face it at some time or another and it would be better if SL could help make it just a little less frustrating by improving the user experience. Other applications are able to handle TCP sessions in this way, so I'm not quite sure why SL can't.
Also, while we're at it, it would be good to allow reconnections from different source IPs. I use an SD-WAN set up whereby if one internet connection fails, my router will automatically re-route traffic via a different modem/internet connection. Sadly SL is just not smart enough to handle this and any change in source IP results in being disconnected from SL. 4G/5G backup/failover connectivity is becoming more and more common in the household, so having better support for this would be great. -

I have a smallish 2048 sqm parcel, I'm looking to put a tower building on it for use as a home + mini club. Does anyone recommend any? It ideally needs to be mesh with good attention to detail. Budget up to L$3000, maybe more for the right build.
I have looked on the marketplace and there's a lot of junk on there, so I was hoping for some recommendations!

There's some 3072 sqm & 4096 sqm parcels in Nautilus City already, not sure about 2048 sqm but there's definitely a few larger than the standard 1024 sqm. Not quite sure how that came to be but still.

Renting can also give you easier/more affordable access to highly desirable parcels in areas where land prices are typically very high to buy outright. For example, a double prim 1024 sqm. parcel in Nautilus City recently sold in excess of L$200k on auction and is now rented to a tenant for L$600 per week.

Yes, another Premium Plus thread - why not?
Now Premium Plus has been around for a little while, what changes/improvements would you like to see? Personally, I'd like to see:
• Ability to "Show Place in Search" for free instead of L$30 per week
• Ability to submit a ticket request to have 2x neighbouring parcels in Horizons / Nautilus City to be joined (to total 2048 sqm. instead of 2x 1024 sqm.)
• A new adult continent/area inspired by Blake Sea regions with exclusive 2048 sqm. parcels, only purchasable by residents with Premium Plus. Access to vast sailing regions would be major benefit-
