the thing i was thinking with the splitting is it saves you having to log the alt inworld every time you want to transfer it's earnings to you otherwise you don't need to split the income

there's not much you can do if you don't want to use an alt you can name your store with all your different brand names but with out an alt you can't have a truly have a separate store that won't interfere with themes and other stuff the good thing is if you use an alt you can let it give you split commissions on every thing it sells in the marketplace

if it's a last logged in date it should be a last logged in world date because if people are like me they may log in to the SL website/forum/marketplace every day but may go days where they can't get inworld

i know very well known brands like AMD/ATI have presences in SL even selling stuff on the marketplace AMD has or at least used to have a very nice sim i visited once or twice but they didn't have the ability for you to buy in SL and get in RL

you need to open up the Advanced menu (develope? menu in V2) Ctrl + Alt + D will do this if you don't see it click character - character tests - go away/afk when idle make sure there isn't an X next to it this will stop you going afk and eventually getting logged after 30 minutes as long as you dont minimise the viewer window, having it in the background not minimised should not affect it

which viewer are you using? if it is phoenix viewer your friend may have de-rendered you and what you friend needs to do is open up the asset blacklist in the phoenix menu and remove you then change group tag or re-log and they will be able to see you again

i've been age verified since back in the day when you didn't need a premium account to manually verify you don't need a premium account or payment info on file having one or both of those is enough to adult verify you which will get you on adult rated land that doesn't require you to be age verified. even when age verification was in beta i wouldn't have said it worked properly i couldn't verify myself with my info (i had to go manual) but the same info later worked on an alt

if you don't want group chat install phoenix viewer they have a preference where if you disable group notices for any group it will disable the group chat too

on the newer phoenix viewers 908 onwards once you derender something it's permanently derendered until you remove it from the asset blacklist in the phoenix menu

unfortunately anyone can go around and ask random strangers for money better known as begging i honestly think these 'beggars' don't need the money i've been in stores and had people IM me and say i only have L$1 can you lend me L$2999 so i can get a L$3000 skin if i do respond i usually tell them if you can't afford it you can't have it or to go earn the L$ or buy it off the lindex/ third party exchange, i got to the point that i put in my profile that i don't give money to beggars. there's no real way to know if the donation is legit you have to take the persons word for it, if it was genuine the person would be quite happy to show you what your donation was used for

on chrome if you have the slurl page open click teleport now it will bring up a pop-up you can choose to launch application or do nothing in the pop-up it will tell you what viewer it will open up it will open that viewer up if you are not logged in to secondlife if you are logged in it will open up a TP window i your viewer if you download and install the 1050 version of phoenix you can tell it during the install to associate slurls with the phoenix viewer

in addition to the other answers you may need to disable VBO in Prefs > Graphics > hardware options i know mine and other ATI cards don't get on with VBO if it doesn't crash the viewer you have bright colours jutting everywhere on the screen (you can't see any of SL) or your viewer crashes every time you try to upload textures

it's entirely possible if the suggestions in the other answers don't work your objects were eaten up before they could get to your inventory it always seems to happen more if you have a no copy item rezzed or the sim owner is returning thousands of prims at the same time from my experience you never see the stuff again

SL is far from an epic fail it's still around and attracting users for me an epic fail would be Spiral Frog, remember that wouldn't be surprised if anyone did the service was so limited as to what you could/couldn't/had to do to have free music no wonder it failed within 2 years
i find SL is more stable than when i joined 3 years ago back then i could remember grid outages my friends moaning about 'the weekend crew' and how the weekend was the worst time to make monetary transactions if the grid wasn't down there was regularly large swathes of people who couldn't log in because one thing or another was broken, those problems don't come up as often 
i think SL could be more popular if people knew about it i only knew about SL because on an off chance i was reading a magazine and there was a story about a couple that met in SL and married in RL. if SL was more like IMVU and advertised on the web and had 'gift' cards like i see for many online games & communities when i'm in the supermarket every week SL could really attract more people even encourage existing users to go premium or just buy L$

if people had more reason to look at their account dashboards they'd get the latest grid status there since people are looking to the forum for answers it would make sense to get some form of grid status here

nvidia cards are better for openGL based stuff like SL ATI is better for DirectX based stuff any game i've played excluding SL has needed and/or used DirectX
