Nor did I find anything offensive in Rodvik's post! (Nor did I say I did.) I agreed that Rik's post clarified his remark about posting carefully, as Perrie mentioned.
I hope he didn't get permabanned either, or even semi-sort-of-banned like so many others! If he does, he deserves to be reinstated and apologized to, as do so many others. I would love to read more of his posts and find it a loss to the forum that his post went on a Walkabout. Having his post here was good PR, imo.

@ Perrie: Yes, Rik's [sic] post did clarify some things in Rodvik's remark.
The strange removal of comments also keeps clarifying many things, at least for me, such as the validity of posting.
I also find it really interesting that when I make posts that I'm sure will get yanked they remain up whereas innocuous, witty tossed off remarks get lost "somehow." My theory has to do with polysyllabic passages in print that confound along with a liberal use of cute little smilies. Quoting dead Europeans seems to be neither a positive nor a negative.
There is a lovely synonym for the word "temperance" (not the alcohol abstinence part). I think those that operate in the dark, in more ways than one, seeking to censor and condemn the very people who support and sustain them, would do well to remind themselves of the "temperate" and "equanimity" segment of their chosen profession. A place with no rules is chaos; a place with over-zealous becomes stagnant. Citing a dead Asian instead of European, there is a concept known as the Middle Way which is a path of moderation between extremes.
I'm glad Rodvik noticed your post and will look into fixing the glitch. I found his post to be refreshing, well, what I remember of it. Caitlin had an interesting insight as to the cause of the glitch. See what I did there? Back on topic. Now, for the cute little animated gif

From: Indie Rose, Angelina Eizenberg
Yes, you read right. I'm closing Indie Rose down at the end of the year. Marked down all items so come and get some bargains this last month of 2011. Thank you for all your support my dears. I will always be grateful!

You are misunderstanding. Rik posted in this thead, and in reply to Rodvik, that he was Pep. That's all. Rik also wrote that he expected to be whacked. He was right. So where the moderators, and for very different reasons.Martyrdom is a mother***bleep***, ain't it. :matte-motes-bored:I have always respected people that sacrifice their avatar names 'in' the name of 'free speech'.Rik [sic] being...whatever...isn't surprising to anyone I would guess. For some reason frank speech is an anathema here. Witty, pointed, intelligent speech a rarity but not for lack of trying.
I, and at least one other, made the mistake of either quoting a mild troll post or else my very witty quotation of a dead Greek back to someone using that very moniker was forbidden.
What I don't understand is why Rodvik is gone. Either he removed the post himself or was selectively removed by someone else. Either alternative is more than strange.
For opacity of actions, for whims masked as decisions, I won't quote a dead Greek but instead a dead Brit, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Is that a genre? Is it a Grammy like category?Yup. Not a Grammy category. LMGIFY.

Sy Beck wrote:Oasis, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets et al you mean? I don't know of a club/ or stream that would be that specialised, but let me know if you find one.
Those would be them, Madchester, yeah.
There used to be such a club but it closed ages ago. I don't even remember the name any more.

Sy Beck wrote:P.S. Do I have to say this is parody?
Yes. Yes you do. For extra measure you should probably put a link to a definition of the word. Add some animated gifs as well.

I sitll don't know where, what sub-sub-sub forum to post in. The events places look like promos for specific places. So I give up and will ask here:
Does anyone know of a DJ or club that routinely plays Manchester (as in England) rock in SL?

Yep, quite a few posts got deleted, mine among them...not sure whyThanks Kylie, I'm happy to know I wasn't hallucinating. The fact that Rodvik's post is gone is what threw me off. That is just strange beyond strange.

Wait. Did I just miss something? Didn't Rodvik post here in response to Perrie?
Wasn't there a post from Rik somebody?
Wasn't this where I posted?
I'm confused. I don't understand this forum and where posts are going. Maybe they got moved? This place is hard to navigate and keep track. :matte-motes-bored:

Pussycat Catnap wrote:The only non-freebie I used was her ears. Which surprised me. I spent 3 hours in shops of items going over 250-300L outfits that were great, but thinking that if I bought them, I'd blow past the limit on a hair I'd planned to get (but didn't), and faery wings. In the end I took a second look at a freebie I'd picked up and shrugged. But I'm going to go back and try to glam her up one more time within 550L.
I am going to do it with two goals, the first is just to see if I can do it the second is to see if I can do it for totally free with a GOOD look. So I'll shop both ways. Hurry up weekend!
And yes, ears, I would have thought you could get those for free somewhere!

Pussycat Catnap wrote:In reponse to the, I put this together today:I need to make a higher rez and closeup shot too...
OOOOOOOOHHHHH! What a fun challenge! Thanks for pointing to this Pussycat. You've set the bar pretty high with this great near freebie avi. Did you spend the whole 550L? I'm going to do this over the weekend.
PS. The pix on the original JuicyBomb site are also great. I had to stop looking because I wanted to challenge myself and didn't want to "cheat" by using other people's suggestions.

Storm Clarence wrote:Play the game Ima, not the player(s).Nice pics, keep them coming.
Or, dislike and avoid the people who think everything is a game and who game the players, even if they are not players. Irony is alive and well.

Yay for holidays that allow for playing.

For some it is.And for some it was not.I had the delightful opportunity to speak with Public Enemy #1, made all the more so because PE had to create a new, throw away avatar to contact me. Well, I assume it was PE, you know how slippery identities are in a virtual environment. I guess it could have been some crazy obsessed person putting on the mantle of deceit. The IM was a fresh perspective and it allowed me to sum up the some for whom it was and was not sad. :matte-motes-bored:

Thanks. I love that sweater dress, too. The designer is Maizon Rayna of Terra d'ombra. This isn't a typical design in style but the quality of texture and design is.
@ Sylvia: I agree. Wow. The photo is great!

I did a major avatar change thanks in part to a thread here. I've been chatting across the Internet about both the avatar and 1920s Berlin so I thought I'd show a little of both. There's a 1920's Berlin thread that someone started in the RP sub-forum (so hard to keep all these sub-forums straight) that I am posting a few pics to as well. These are all straight from SL with no PShop.
A fine fall sunset in 1929, Berlin.
Paris, in the rain @ Cupcake sim (and this one is PShopped).

This probably is too simplistic for your problem but I didn't see you mention it:
Go to World tab and hit "Stop Animating My Avatar"
I had this happen to me once and I had to "stop animating" a few times. I also cleared cache and took EVERYthing off.

@ Charly: Pictures or it never happened.

Lots of things wouldn't surprise me anymore! :matte-motes-tongue:
Oh yeah, as I said, quoting a mild troll or quoting dead Greeks, one or the other. Those things happened after Rodvik's post as you note, and had nothing to do with his post (as I recall, did they?). But at least we learned that Perrie's Notification glitch is getting top tier attention! Now about that lag thang...
