    Oh yeah, as I said, quoting a mild troll or quoting dead Greeks, one or the other. Those things happened after Rodvik's post as you note, and had nothing to do with his post (as I recall, did they?). But at least we learned that Perrie's Notification glitch is getting top tier attention! Now about that lag thang... smiley-laughing021.gif

    Nor did I find anything offensive in Rodvik's post! (Nor did I say I did.) I agreed that Rik's post clarified his remark about posting carefully, as Perrie mentioned.

    I hope he didn't get permabanned either, or even semi-sort-of-banned like so many others! If he does, he deserves to be reinstated and apologized to, as do so many others. I would love to read more of his posts and find it a loss to the forum that his post went on a Walkabout. Having his post here was good PR, imo.

    @ Perrie: Yes, Rik's [sic] post did clarify some things in Rodvik's remark.

    The strange removal of comments also keeps clarifying many things, at least for me, such as the validity of posting.

    I also find it really interesting that when I make posts that I'm sure will get yanked they remain up whereas innocuous, witty tossed off remarks get lost "somehow." My theory has to do with polysyllabic passages in print that confound along with a liberal use of cute little smilies. Quoting dead Europeans seems to be neither a positive nor a negative. 

    There is a lovely synonym for the word "temperance" (not the alcohol abstinence part). I think those that operate in the dark, in more ways than one, seeking to censor and condemn the very people who support and sustain them, would do well to remind themselves of the "temperate" and "equanimity" segment of their chosen profession. A place with no rules is chaos; a place with over-zealous becomes stagnant.  Citing a dead Asian instead of European, there is a concept known as the Middle Way which is a path of moderation between extremes.

    I'm glad Rodvik noticed your post and will look into fixing the glitch. I found his post to be refreshing, well, what I remember of it. Caitlin had an interesting insight as to the cause of the glitch. See what I did there? Back on topic. Now, for the cute little animated gif smiley-computer005.gif

    I, and at least one other, made the mistake of either quoting a mild troll post or else my very witty quotation of a dead Greek back to someone using that very moniker was forbidden. 

    What I don't understand is why Rodvik is gone. Either he removed the post himself or was selectively removed by someone else. Either alternative is more than strange.

    For opacity of actions, for whims masked as decisions, I won't quote a dead Greek but instead a dead Brit, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

    Thanks Kylie, I'm happy to know I wasn't hallucinating. The fact that Rodvik's post is gone is what threw me off. That is just strange beyond strange.

    PS. The pix on the original JuicyBomb site are also great. I had to stop looking because I wanted to challenge myself and didn't want to "cheat" by using other people's suggestions.

    I had the delightful opportunity to speak with Public Enemy #1, made all the more so because PE had to create a new, throw away avatar to contact me. Well, I assume it was PE, you know how slippery identities are in a virtual environment. I guess it could have been some crazy obsessed person putting on the mantle of deceit.  The IM was a fresh perspective and it allowed me to sum up the some for whom it was and was not sad. :matte-motes-bored:

    Thanks. I love that sweater dress, too. The designer is Maizon Rayna of Terra d'ombra. This isn't a typical design in style but the quality of texture and design is.

    I did a major avatar change thanks in part to a thread here. I've been chatting across the Internet about both the avatar and 1920s Berlin so I thought I'd show a little of both. There's a 1920's Berlin thread that someone started in the RP sub-forum (so hard to keep all these sub-forums straight) that I am posting a few pics to as well. These are all straight from SL with no PShop.
