In a little over one month from now, the playa will be alive with art and community once again. The theme for this year's Conception event is "Take a Look Inside." You will be building outside of the box, by building inside of a box! The landscape will be dotted with 24x24x24 somewhat transparent black boxes. Dusty roads and infrastructure will complete the invitation to visitors to "Take A Look Inside." Interested? Bay City's 9th Anniversary The celebration is taking place on Sunday, May 21 and includes a parade through town, followed by a live music concert with Marx Dudek, Christov Kohnke, Winston Ackland and Oblee (Obeloinkment Wrigglesworth). Burnal Equinox, which takes place at the mid-point between the BURN2 annual main event, will happen April 28th through April 30th. "Sacred and Profane" is the theme. Bay City will once again come together to celebrate the hardy Moles of the Linden Department of Public Works on the 4th of February. This free event will be held in the Bay City Fairgrounds in North Channel. As in past years, the invitation is open to all Second Life® members to join in the fun. This will be the 7th such event, set aside to show appreciation for The Moles and their many contributions to Bay City and the rest of the Second Life™ Grid. Normally held on the same day as Groundhog Day, this year’s event will be observed two days later, taking advantage of the weekend. The event will feature a performance by DJ GoSpeed of KONA Stream at 11:00 a.m. SL Time (SLT), followed by a live performance by Oblee (Obleoinkment Wrigglesworth) beginning at noon SLT. “Moles” are members of The Linden Department of Public Works (LDPW). The LDPW is a program focused on improvements related to the experience of living on, or visiting the Linden Mainland. The LDPW is a team of Resident builders, scriptwriters, and others to create new content on Linden Lab’s behalf and to the benefit of all. Bay City -- Hallowe'en Hay Maze 2016 Bay City Citizen Uccello Poultry informs us that: The Bay City Hay Maze for 2016 looks pretty exciting and might be bigger than ever! As always, it is at the Bay City Fairgrounds. Many thanks to Linden Lab for the prize coffin (yes, prize coffin) and, of course, Marianne McCann and Pygar Bu for all their hard work. Hot Bay City Nights 2016 Need a new set of wheels? Drop on by and kick some tires! There are 3 Charity Car Wash events scheduled, supporting the Child's Play organization. Sunday -- 08/21 -- 1:00 pm SLT Tuesday -- 08/23 -- 7:00 pm SLT Friday -- 08/26 -- 6:00 pm SLT And on Saturday 08/27 at 1:00 pm SLT the "Miss" Bay City event will be held. Everyone, regardless of everything, is invited to participate. Contestants are encouraged to "act the part" of a beauty contest participant, and will be expected to answer a pageant-style question or two. Contact Pygar Bu in-world for more details.
