  1. Jake is a good body for avatars who change their style.

With Jake, you can be cyberpunk on Thursday, latex and harness on Friday, pinstripe suit on Saturday, full steampunk on Sunday, street wear on Monday, casual conservative in khaki on Tuesday and full floorlength gown on Wednesday.

You can be all that with Legacy, but Jake is lower in price and complexity. To select a male body, demo both and see if you hate Jake so much that you must have Legacy instead. If Legacy could fix the glitch, ditch their weird HUD (Seriously, whyyyyy?) and lower the complexity (A lot), I would buy Legacy in a sale. Until then, Jake it is.

Signature Gianni is too muscular for me, but some love that. But I am female in RL. I have a feeling that those who are male in RL like big deltoids and arms. Of course that is very sterotypical thinking on my side. If a guy ask for advice and I tell him about the different bodies and he choose Signature Gianni, I am sure he is male RL. Again, just me speaking, and my opinion.

Legacy Athlethic is also a body I think a "male in RL" could want.

----- And I want to give Meshbody Classic a bit love, genious for the low budget and where a small inventory is perfectly serviceable. It takes some time and effort, searching the Marketplace and stores who has not retired all their clothes from previous years. Last time I sent an alt in Cold Ash, he found they had some in the back of the store. And the quality of Cold Ash clothes from several years back, is better than much of what you find today. For suits, all they need is that they fit around the neck and the hands, the rest is hidden in an alpha layer. Honestly, I would take this 1L body instead of LL starter mesh avatar. Of course you do not find new clothes for it... so it is not an answer to "most supported" body. Mea culpa.

.......... We don't really know which will have the most a year from now.

Yes, every purchase in SL is bought with the hope that the creator does not leave SL. If people bought Slink and belived it would be around for ever....

We should buy bodies in SL because we love it, and if it is enough content made for it for our purpose.

I can even find clothes for the TMP body, that is named Classic Meshbody now. A suit, a few pants, shoes, shirts, sweater, bathing shorts and jacket.

I want more for my alts, but if I should have an avatar just for business, a small wardrobe like that would do.

Without trying it I didn't especially like the look of Purple's 'old woman' skin (picked it up anyway), but this is the one at the back of the store with the other group gifts.

UPDATE: Had a quick play. Still need to find eyebrows I like and do something about the overly-prominent lashes, but I'm pleased with the detailing of the mouth. (No, I don't want to look like Kris Jenner.)

    oldwoman.jpg

I will probably trash both the skins from Purple, this one because of the smokers mouth lines. Isn't that when you chain smoke for years and get these lines?

I have some wrinkles around the eyes, but my overlip is smooth like when I was a babe.

When you see the amount of available outfits for Jake, i dare to doubt it will disappear.

There's so much stored in inventories that i think it will take a decade to rule it out.

Jake has some interesting male items too. Like corsets, boys tip-toes (By Maze) and belly add-on. Some want more than the usual jeans and suits, and I think no other male body has that amount of special apparel.

  5. A new Belleza male body could come next year, the year after that or maybe in five years.... And Belleza could mess up by overpricing it. The new female GenX was more or less shot dead before it could start, because it was overpriced. It is picking up speed now, but slowly.

Persephone is right, you get more sizes in the pack when you shop. Maybe a few stores rig for only one body, it is very rare. But in general, you get Jake + Legacy, or Jake + Legacy + Gianni. And some of the other bodies, but not as often as the three popular bodies.

So if you buy Jake now, you decide you want Legacy and buy it, you have a wardrobe already, with the apparel you bought for Jake.

------ Unprotected water lots are like living next to an Ice Cream shop, loving Ice Cream, and yet being allergic to it. It's an exercise in frustration.

I like void water just so I can look at it and have a lighthouse and off land dolphins that can swim in the void. I can not put a thing out in the protected Linden waterways. 2 X void water to south and west, no one can build there. 🥰

Waves a white flag from under the piles of inventory mess

You win, Lelutka! My inventory is in shambles. I'll never go shopping again!

I have more than one female account, and this is hard work! 😆 I find new group gifts I have missed when I first picked up gifts. I didn't think I wanted the old woman skin, but there are a not so old skin - maybe a skin I will use - in the back of the store. More than one skin, and some makeup, even a beard for men.

So tomorrow another avatar start over again, to pick up the group gifts overlooked the first time she made the round. So many skins and makeup.

I was just looking at that top , but passed buy it because the bodies it fit in the add, were the smallest print in the add.. So I couldn't read which bodies it was for.. lol

I wish some creators would beef up the print size on the bodies they are rigging for in their adds, rather than make them  like the fine print on a contract.. lol

O gosh yes. I squint at ads so much these days, I fear that my face will end up like that...

an insight example to that assumption from one of my latest releases ( Cinderella ) that is available for Lara as well as for LaraX. It's just one release and just my store, but to me this already gives a pretty clear direction. As I sell per body, it's easy to see: LaraX sales were overall by far the strongest in this release, followed by Reborn, Lara sales are way in the back of the tail.

As I said, one release of one creator is certainly not representative, but also what bodies are most worn, going by various stats, does not neccessarily represent sales either. Those vary a lot from brand to brand depending on so many different things like style, customer base, pricing,  marketing etc.

I have a ton of Lara clothes, so what I will buy now are LaraX.

I have some favorite stores, if they release remakes of clothes, I would buy them again. I do not need redelivery of them. I like what ISON is doing when they rig for new bodies. First a weekend sale, then full price.

The May release in Collabor 88 is for sale this weekend, with the LaraX size.

Well, I'm glad to say that I managed to make her look less like Tammy Faye Bakker, without needing to spend any money - I failed to not spend any money on my other "only freebies" alt, but I'm determined to keep this one pure and untainted ;) (except for $5 so she could pick up the dollar-refunded freebies). Anyway, I played with the HUD's mask sliders and tinted her lashes a light skin tone. Definitely a big learning curve as facial animations are beyond me for now. I've got other avis that need to collect stuff - this has encouraged me to resurrect a few who've been dormant for 9-10 years. (Finding an old notebook with scrawled passwords has certainly helped!)

    mellilashes.jpg

You see the arrow symbol under the drop for tinting?

I always set the whole face animation (On top on the page that open when you click the arrow) to "Alive" (Sorry, it is Awake). That is the most neutral. We can select more than one, or just one. Then they play and you can forget about them. Sometimes they turn off when you have been in edit mode many times in a row, but I can go weeks without having to restart.

I like Lelutka because I can find such subtle face animations that I prefer over Catwa. It is more than "Awake" that is very neutral, but I forgot the names. I have 3 or 4 on. You should get an idea when you see the names.

    Idle

    Subtle

    Natural

  11. Apparel - I think creators should not drop 5.3 now.

They should offer both 5.3 and X at least until spring and watch where it is going. I think that cutting it off now might not be the smartest, let people change to X in their own time.

Better to include X size to make people curious, and at the same time, provide all Maitreya users with apparel. Do not make them leave for brands that include 5.3.

    It can be a mistake.

5.3 is still the most popular body, more than Reborn, many more than LaraX.

  12. I have clicked on the wrench icon, and get up this part with all the layers. I have selected the bottom ear layer. I can now rightclick it and take it off, or I can use the arrow to move it up. I get no arrow down option, since it is the bottom universal layer. The padlock symbol means I can not make any changes, other than take it off or move it.

If I will see my attachments or my body parts, I have to select them. (See the two yellow dots near the bottom).

    appearance2.png.f27aef3d04364f70b08435873cbf4044.png

I have selected the "Body parts" and here are the four parts that I can not take off. I can edit them if they have a wrench symbol. If they have the padlock symbol, I can only replace them.

If you edit the shape, use "Save as" and change the name to so you find it again if you take it off. Something like "My edited shape December 15th" or whatever you will call it.

  13. It is more practical to select Appearance, instear of Inventory,  when you will look at what you are wearing. Click on the t-shirt icon (See it next to the yellow dot to the left)

    Appearance.thumb.png.a7ca725d12689fbe40a91ea256c33c8b.png

You notice multiple tattoo layers, and also 3 universal layers. The universal layers are often used for ears on lelutka heads. You will see that I am wearing 3 of them! (I should take off two) 😆

But it does not affect how my ears look, because it is no transparency in these ear layers. All the layers with makeup are mostly transparent. Only the moles are visible on the moles layer, and so on. We can stack a lot of makeup from different brands.

What we call SKIN in Second Life, can be both the skin symbol and the tattoo symbol. What show up as the face skin, is named amara beauty - Raven 20 - MED BROWS.

The skin brand is Amara Beauty, the "Raven 20" means that this skin is made to be worn with the Lelutka Raven head, the skin tone is 20 and the skin has drawn on eyebrows in medium color. (If I wanted to wear other brows, I had to look in the skin folder from Amara Beauty and look for NO BROWS. I could then add other eyebrows.)

All these layers layers gives me this look:

    Thefouryoucannottakeoff_005.png.0b051c1a883970c2651c37e403e2e0d6.png

Notica that I wear so much that I have to slide down the side bar to look at the parts that is not showing in the appearance window. (See next to the yellow dot to the right)

When you will Edit what you are wearing, click the wrench symbol (top).

After you click the wrench symbol, you will first see all the layers. You can right click and take them off, or you can change their place. You will see an arrow up and down, click them to move the layer. This is good when you will wear an eyeliner over eyemakeup. You need the eyeliner layer on top, not under the eyemakeup layer.

  14. The four parts you can not take off, only replace, and some examples of the parts you can add, take off and wear multiple of. What you can not take off, are marked with pink. The names does not matter.

Notice that if you select WEAR on any part, you knock off the part you have on and replace it.

If you will have on 2 or more tattoos or other parts, ADD them.

Daily I find more and finally clothes in my style. Yay! LaraX 100% now. Need more lingerie but what redhead doesn't?

Bought a gown from Dead Doll and knit dress from S&P yesterday, and could have bought at least 4-5 more but they weren't quite right (i.e., Ricielli has a nice pants/top outfit but something about the pants fabric wasn't right for me).

Maitreya is updating their clothes, the Reve lingerie should be updated next. I have several of the colors, it is lovely.

I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to mesh heads - have just started looking at the Lelutka Noel and find myself rather overwhelmed by the HUD, so I need to sit down and go through instructions. (I'm a RTFM-type person, not one for video tutorials.) Anyway, as you can see from this example, I haven't figured out eyes, but I have managed to craft a nose which is similar enough to Frigga's system head nose to keep me happy, once I work out the rest of the face. (Just wish I could add slightly more of a bump, but the nose tip is definitely superior to Frigga's.)

    romannose.jpg

You have not seen a difficult HUD before you tried to use a Catwa head.

Trust me, Lelutka's is nothing compared to it.

------------------ ✂️ PS. Found one -- there are neck blenders in the Traditional Face pack (likely in some other Velour skin packs as well.  Helped some.

Yes, Velour has neck blenders and ear skin - female, male and fantasy in a box on the floor in the body skin section. They are free.

  18. I like this skin! It is the Fuoey skin "Oliver" in ruddy, to match Not Found Ruddy tone. But it is a fatpack, you get 5 different skin versions. You should unpack and use the special ear skin, or else it will look strange. The Not Found ear skins have no imperfections.

It is not the skin pictured in the Seraphim post. But here Fuoey has been so kind and set "Oliver" as a gift next to "Yuri", the skin for 12 Days of Christmas. I was not going to get the Fuoey Yuri skin because I thought I would not wear it, but luckily I went there.

The Mister Razzor skin did not look exiting, but I saw that it had hairbases included, and so I got there and grabbed the pack. I wear hairbase Blonde 5, but also Lelutkas own hairbase 072 under. I have not tried on the rest, it is things like eyebrows, blush for cheek, nose and ears in addition to skins in 3 tones who match Not Found body Hinti, Medium and Ruddy.

The Insol gift eyes are as good as Avi-Glam, maybe even more natural. I wear /2.

I unpacked the Lelutka beards, and wear the 012. I use the HD "eyemakeup" verson that gives a bit of eyebags and wrinkles.

What's not free: The eyebrows "Thales" from Stray Dog.

Edited to add: The eyelashes isn't tinted black, but brown. Small detail.
