  6. I *think* this is my first post here. I usually lurk Me and a couple of friends decided to have a bit of fun and start a little dance group. It's really an excuse to buy lots and lots of matching outfits (currently at 198) and go hit the events listings for the evening to see whats happening. I was a host/manager a long...loooooooong time ago under my avatars original name. I've changed the account name and wiped out a lot of my old friends list to basically move on from managing and hosting since i kept being dragged back into it. Over the past 2 to 3 months of randomly hitting clubs and events, I've noticed a few things which really grind my gears when it comes to events and clubs... "The Wild West Bar" So, you teleport in. You can hear the typing sound animation going on in the distance. When you get within 30m of the event, all the typing stops and you get the feeling everyone is staring at you (no i wasnt naked or carrying an angry bag of cats). You stand there and the host says "Hi", you say Hi back and then...nothing, silence. It's almost as if the 10 people in the club and the DJ went into group chat. "The Line Dance Pad Bar" I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate...hate...hate...HATE those things. Me and the girls stumble into a rock club, or a pop club, or an 80's club and its row, upon row, upon row of those idiotic line dance pads. First of all, you are a ROCK club, not a Country Western club. Secondly, the dances you have installed are THE singular worst set of dances i have ever had the misfortune of watching my avatar flail to since the days of the Roxbury head bop. Stop it! Put the pads away and get a REAL dance system. "The Zombie Bar" No, not a club with actual zombies you can shoot. I mean a bar where you walk in, no one talks, no one moves, most folks aint dancing, the DJ sounds like he's got his head in a bucket and the host is MIA but still dancing. Utter silence...apart from the DJ. The above three scenarios seems to be the three things me and the other girls making up our dance troupe run into, time and time again. We try (ohhh boy do we TRY) and stick around in an event that fits into one of the categories above, but eventually one of us cracks and then we all leave. Sometimes one of us gets a message asking why we left, and it;s usually one of the reasons above. Some club managers take the comments well, most don't. The entire point of listing your event on the events listing is to get new people in. A lot of the events and club we have went to seem to not want new people there. Anyway, i've ranted enough Here's a piccy of "The Charlie's Angels"
