why'd you change my quote to be so rude? pretty uncalled for. also like @Persephone Emerald stated inuyasha is pretty well-known. i realize ppl not familiar with the style aren't going to be easily able to tell the ages bc usually in anime anyone under 30 looks young, past 30 they usually start looking more realistic but it ultimately depends on a particular anime/manga artists style how they depict old/young people. even cartoons character kinda fall into that too, it's usually height, clothes, etc that give away age. example is Roy revant (age 45) and his daugther rose (young adult 18-22) from solty rei. cased close which is more cartoony, has distinct ways to draw different ages. this is literally the same character as a kid vs a late teen. then i have kogoro who is middle aged underneath. also jousei and seinien genres exist in anime/manga and feature adult characters because the demographic is for adult women/men. which unfortunately, most ppl even fans seem to not realize exist. everyone assumes anime/manga is strictly shonen/shoujo which the demographic for that is teens, so the characters are typically teens. Spice & wolf is a popular example of jousei/seinen genres. also what you're describing is is hentai, porn. (lolicon specifically since you mention she's implied to be 10). not all anime is porn, don't water it down to be that. when it comes to lolicon, it's one of the most hated genres even by fans. this particular comment gives vibes that you just don't like anime fans & anime more than anything because of stereotypes.

that woman does resemble your avatar so much. RL examples of youthful 20+ yr olds does show estimating late teens- young adults will depend on multiple factors other than appearance. if i was into posting pics of myself online i would. because i get comments frequently IRL about how i look like a 18-20 yr old despite being 25. i think it's just how i dress and dont wear makeup. Also as genderqueer tomboy, wearing baggy clothes probably hides my figure too.

maybe i should post more anime, furry type, and male example bc all we got is human females so far? so far the two i did post seem to lean 50/50 on either confused or adult/teen the anime character is actually based on an miroku from inuyasha who is canonically 18 in the series. but i feel anime characters in general look like very young, especially to non-fans that don't know the style well. the girl uses genus baby face which to me i feel like is why ppl are picking confused. she's supposed to have a chubby build which is why i picked that head when making her. (also feel like the tomboy outfit probably comes off as teen-like despite knowing many 20+ yr olds dressing similarly).

So if you think the avatar looks like: a child (17 or younger) then react with a like, for an adult (18 and over) use thanks, and use confused if you can't tell based on physical appearance alone. Please don't respond to individual posts with written comments just use the reaction icons. wanted to test something because this is the same avatar just wearing different clothes, hair, and tattoos.

So what changed in the Terms of Service?
Devilgrey replied to Lucia Nightfire's topic in General Discussion Forum
also can't forget curvy teens exist too, and usually those same teens get a lot of shame/crap while in school over it. as a side-note, I've taken alcohol training for my culinary/retail jobs. training emphasized how much makeup/clothes/hair can really change your perception of a teen vs adult. basically very hard to tell age. some places make you ID everyone now just to be certain. so it maybe tricky to establish what's a teen avatar is in sl without encroaching onto adult avatars too. it's a slippery slope. this will be a tough one for sure. -
i understand. slink heads had rigged non-human ears and teeth too. i own one of of the ears but didn't snag anymore before it shutdown. hopefully, at least someone else reading the thread will find those simple elf ears helpful.

i'm pretty sure i saw ads for it online (on the tv too i swear) as a kid in the 2000s. didn't join until 2020 because a friend i had on discord was a sl user. they arent very active on sl anymore, but we still talk every now and then on discord.

personally don't like generative-ai, bc of the unethical data sourcing the companies committed to create their ai tools and these companies. I also don't really like the idea of off-loading creativity to machines. however even if AI companies went through ethical routes of data training, i wouldn't touch it bc i'd rather learn and improve skills. i just like the process of creating. NGL i dislike coming across sellers and creators in SL on mp or inworld using ai, but not disclosing it. It's dishonest to costumers, especially when using ai on product photos so they look ultra-realistic (in the gen-ai type of way). the least someone could do is disclose it bc it somewhat comes off as scammerish to not do it. not everyone wants to buy generative-ai stuff.

maybe bandicam? (https://www.bandicam.com/) i use it for no-commentary game playthroughs, and screen recordings (don't care to do voice overs). i bought the full version, trail only lets you do 10 min videos. you can always test it out.

sometimes you gotta make the bad stuff to get to the good stuff. no one starts out good, we all have to crawl before walking. And even then, you can't always expect to create bangers either. tbf I feel you about blender tho, i don't care to learn it past a few simple things. i sculpt irl and blender just over complicates it. so i stick to creating bom stuff, it took awhile for me to understand how to read the uv maps but i got better with practice. Also for SL photography (if that's what you mean by photos) you can try to get decent pics within sl without needing to heavily edit later with software. makes it easier. recommend skell's tips for fashion photos https://virtualbloke.com/archives/2954. maybe try joining a building or creative group within sl or on a SL discord/sm? getting advice and encouragement from others can make a difference when pursuing creative skill mastery. I'm in a writing/art discord and the encourage and help ppl give there makes it more fun. tho from your other comments it kinda seems you may need a break from sl. spend time away doing things you enjoy irl. no point in logging to sl if it feels boring atm.

kinda off topic but i never thought of using calling cards like this. I've mostly used my calling card within notecards for products i sell, just thought it was easier to have that there than customers having to type my name if they needed to contact me.

found the gacha bottoms From Gabrielle for relatively cheap and it was what i needed to finalize this outfit. eventually i'll get better photos, i take forever to do that XD.

Mouselook without head-bobbing from avatar animation?
Devilgrey replied to Noel Loordes's question in Controls
i cant use mouse-look either. first person perspective in video-games tend to make my sick after while too. but sl's mouselook is atrocious. -
"add" instead of "wear"

i wen thru the thread to see if anyone said this. im always getting this popup

i forget atenea isnt bom out the box. the selena body which is what i wore bc atenea wasnt released yet was bom-enabled from the get go.
-
lucybody is a cheaper alternative for mesh bodies, & makes several different types too. most maitreya clothing and slink shoes fit them, just try demos first. if you enter the midnight madness board, you can get the atenea body for free. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Coral Reef/38/51/501

i have too many outfits i love on the old maitreya body, so I'm not ready to swap to the new body just yet. it's going to be tiresome having to sort through what i own to figure out what is, or isn't being re-rigged for the larax. new body does have better shoulders. and that's the biggest improvement for me. i just don't have the energy to sort my inventory and get stuff redelivered just to have nicer shoulders. I stuck with slink's male body until slink closed. however, i was thinking of swapping before bc lots of the clothes wasn't really my style. i still haven't dropped the slink heads yet, I love the heads. typically i just stick with bodies i own already until it's support isn't there anymore, or finding clothes i like is a hassle. when it comes to maitreya's old body, there wont be much of a issue finding clothes. i try to keep my mesh bodies i use to a minimum. keep myself sane. heads are a different story though, i have so many.
