  1. I did a search in the classifieds for the land that I'm selling, but only half of them show up even though I've checked the box to list all of them. They each say that I'll be charged L$30. How is that fair?
  2. There are some items in the Marketplace (Rental Box, Donation Tree, etc) that need to have access to my vast fortune (not really). When I'm finished using things like that is there a way to see a list of entities that may still be attached to my L$ account? Like in Paypal I can see a list of businesses that I agreed to associate with in the past, but now that we're finished I can break the connection. Thank you.
  3. My search for answers to this question always leads to the size limitations for uploading an image to SL. At the same time I've seen galleries and shops with huge images & artwork. Are they created as mesh objects first?
  4. I'll research the Tip Jar idea. I like that.
  5. In the About Land popup there is a section called "Sell Passes To". I imagine it will give me the ability to sell passes to visitors on my land to see or do something worth paying a buck or two for. I haven't been able to find detailed information regarding how to set that up. And remember, I'm the new guy so go slow. 😉
  6. Rather than having an app for all of SL, I would love an app for buying $L, making auction bids, sending and receiving mail and messages, etc. An app for handling the non graphical business side. Even the money and meter conversion. All in one app.
  7. Thanks for the reply and sorry for the confusion. New guy here. I bought two separate parcels of land and they are not in my list of purchased properties, although I have receipts for them. I actually found a place to make a ticket and Second Life Support said that they will investigate. Thanks you.
  8. Who do I talk to about missing inventory? I purchased two properties that are not listed in my inventory. I see the purchases in the list of items I've bought and I probably have photos of them.
  9. Thanks Dame, I have a ton of questions about design. I will view some tutorials this weekend and read up on it first. I would have loved learning this stuff back in my college days. Of course a computer filled an entire room back then. 😉
  10. Thank you. I realize that answers to my many questions are somewhere, but SL is so complex and there are so many details about every little thing. Whenever I start searching for answers to one question I discover something else I was wondering about and down the rabbit hole I go.
  11. This morning before heading off to work I purchased a new avatar, but did not have time to play with it. Sometimes the hardest part of learning SL is having to remember that I have a RL demanding my time. Thank you for your tips. I'll know more when I get home tonight... While my wife is wondering when I'm coming to bed.
  12. When I select the Gestures panel, I can get my Avatar to make facial expressions and sounds, but he doesn't do anything physical like wave or clap. What am I doing wrong? I've only been a member for a week, so go easy on me.
  13. Thank you. I guess that I meant that was using the standard SL viewer that I downloaded. It works so seamlessly I forgot it was a separate program. Thanks for the Chromebook tip. I didn't think that it would really work. Bought if recently for my wife to Zoom with clients since her laptop was 10+ yrs old but works fine for everything else she does. I'm new so you'll see a lot more questions from me.
  14. What's the best viewer for SL? I bounce between my Chrome browser and Firestorm. Is there another? I'm using a PC laptop (Windows 10), but I sometimes use a Chromebook for family video chats. I haven't visited SL on the Chromebook yet, because I know that some software isn't available for it. (And my wife is on it sometimes). Will SL work on a Chromebook?
  15. Second Life has been a very interesting experience so far. I am amazed at the detail. I have a premium account and so I selected a house. I am wondering where I get the furniture. At the top of the screen in my house it says "Scripts not allowed" and "Building/dropping objects not allowed". The objects I've purchased were not able to open or rez something in that house. Is there a special place I need to go for furniture with a Linden home? Thank you.
