  1. Neck seam is due to Genus and Legacy not being exactly ‘compatible’. I haven’t had neck seam issues on Lelutka Evo, so it must be something between the materials difference. I tried to figure out how to fix it but alas, I cannot no matter what due to materials difference. As for the lighting, I was using a skinlight called Alpine But yeah, I will say I am learning.This is a huge step-up from my first skin (this skin is my... fourth? one). I am still learning how to use textures and highlights and blush. But personally, I love it. Probs because I made it so I’m biased and proud of it... The crease of the eyes and the nose are a huge improvement of my previous ones. But thank you for telling me that ❤️ I’ll try to work on it more.
  2. Yeah. I figured that. XD It was mostly the shape I was concerned about and the skin looked super cute on that specific head and shape. HOWEVER!   3. Picture of skin and shape made (eyebrows is part of a different skin I made). The product picture will likely look like this (with some editing but not on the face/skin area... Only to make it 'spiffy'. But yeah, is the cutouts of the demo and such not... good? for a product pic? Or is it fine?
  4. I’m curious as to what people think when a product picture of a shape or skin on a mesh head demo. Is it tacky, make people less likely to buy, etc? I made a shape and I also have a skin that looks absolutely beautiful with the shape, which the shape I want to include with the skin. So I’m curious how people feel when a skin and/or shape is using a mesh head demo on MP or any advert on SL and Flickr.
  5. While I do have a store (meshes and bom tattoo creator) to run, I would like to seek additional employment that preferably has a salary/hourly pay and not just tips. Mostly to be able to continue running my store (as in renting and uploads... maybe shopping, thats always a thing) Be it rentals (real estate), roleplaying a diner/restaurant/etc, hosting in a club... My only limits is I do not do voice at all, strip, or escorting. DJing I will have to learn as I have never done that before and will probably need help setting up a stream for your club. I am on SL for long periods of time (as of this moment until I gain RL employment). I am EST, so my hours are generally 4-5am SLT to 5-6pm SLT. I have little experience in rentals and hosting, but I roleplay quite a bit (mostly for fun), so I know how to emote, especially in a para-rp sense. I am also willing to learn and be trained and gain experience overtime. I can socialize easily amongst SLers and anyone really, and can stay calm and collected if anything gets tense when it comes to customer service. As appearance is concerned, I have a mesh head (catwa catya/blueberry/hanako/freya, Genus Strong/Baby/Gift, Lelutka Lake/Nova/Aida) and mesh body (maitreya/belleza/legacy classic and free version/slinkHG/alice), if that is relevant. I can make a professional avi suitable for employment (I have suits and professional attire in my inventory). I can provide gyazo's and screenshots of my avi (usually fantasy and etheral-like races (not furry, still human), but can make a completely human avi with no horns or tails or even wings.) Currently my avis usually consist of belleza freya or legacy with genus strong face/gift001 or Lelutka Evo head. Again, if asked, I will provide gyazos/screenshot of a avi that can be used for professional employment. If you have an available position (excluding dance/escort/voice/anything erotic) that is paid salary/hourly plus possibly commission/tips (will be honest, as long as its paid somehow) please contact me inworld or on forums.   6. I would like to see if there are any creators who have free room on their land for another store. I would prefer it to be free (as a sponsor kind of thing?) rent or if it helps out with rent, I am willing to share any profit. I am currently just a small store (around 30x30m, maybe less, its 748sq) with not much products (about ten?), but I am looking for possibly a bigger space, if there is room, but being how things are personally, payment is of a sporadic thing for me, thus I wish to be able to have either free space or a small share of profit. I do have a gothicy, magical, etheral, roleplay, fantasy looks. Tattoos, clothing, accessories, etc... If anyone is concerned of the aesthetics in their land. I can give any links you wish to check it out my store, if you have space you are wiling to set aside for free (or want a small share to help out).   7. Okay so, update... The skirt was a major problem... But I subdivided it and it lowered the cost drastically to 66-77L. That is.. quite confusing. More complex things actually LOWER the download cost despite it turning it into more verts and tris/quads! Can someone explain what is going on with that?
  8. I am quite stumped on how to lower the download cost of this dress. 😕 Its up in the hundred, as in 174L and if I join them together, it skyrockets to 300-something! It isn't even that complex, only 8K tris and 4k verts! I've had way more verts and tris with a muuuch cheaper cost (as in 10-something or 20-something). I thought of where one said automerge verts when editing, that didn't really help (which, I really wish I knew looong time ago when editing!). I also don't touch the physics tab too, which can mess with the cost. Just the first and third tab (skin weights). It was the same way with a bodysuit (simple and less than MD's count which has had lower download costs than this) where it was 80L. So I'm not sure whats going on.
  9. Okay. SO! I just unistalled and reinstalled Blender 2.79 and welp.... that fixed it. >_> When in doubt, reinstall?
  10. So, this is an entirely new error for me when exporting through Avastar's collada/dae where it won't export whatsoever. Oddly it does not show up in the coding. But this is a ValueError and it says 'sequence size is 5, expected is 3'. Something along those lines. I thought it was 'oh theres too many tris/vectors/etc', so I decimated that to see. Didn't help.... Usually errors I get are either because I hid the armature (to which I make visible and that fixes it), or there is too many vectors/tris/etc... But I'm quite stumped with this error as I can't find anything on Google about it and what I tried to do didn't work. I did try other exports, which exported fine (such as regular collada or FBX) but either it won't be uploaded to SL or it's a mess when uploaded (aka regular collada... theres a reason why I use the Avastar collada). So hopefully someone here will know more about this error than google!
  11. @Wulfie Reanimator Yes, I figured that in the layout. I just wanted them all spaced out so I could change that layout easier. Not sure why it acts up now? Though the 'select linked' is quite useful, I haven't learned off that shortcut till now. @ChinRey You understood correctly, no worries. ^ As for the UV Map, I managed to get by on select and separate most pieces. The bands were linked and so was the top portion. Skirts (front and back) were separated. Is there any idea of separating all of them or...? UV Map now (its baking an AO texture right now in texture mode): https://gyazo.com/39cdb982a201d181602990476112efd8 The left top corner is the top portion all linked in one, and the band (left bottom) is linked together as well. The skirt I overlayed so when I do texture, I can somewhat have a easier time with this gradient/ombre idea of mine.
  12. I haven't had this happen before; wondering why it started just now as I haven't changed my settings. Basically, when exporting MD to Blender 2.79, the pattern changes to where they are laying on top of each other than the MD pattern spaced out so I can move/scale it to optimal UV mapping where it takes up space instead of a small corner of the image size.   13. @Kyrah Abattoir Makes sense! Thank you! Especially for those shortcuts in selecting individual. And it A on the default setting for selecting/deselecting all. @janetosilio Default on final are around 25; the preset in blender. so I guess even that default needs to be higher then! Did not know there were other 'defaults' amongst creators.
  14. Yeeah, UV mapping and textures is one thing I really need to learn! Looking at a UV map confuses me when it isn't made in MD, as I'm not sure where is where, what is what, etc, etc. MD UV mapping, I know where exactly things are at. Is there a way to select one section to scale on the UV Map? I have a hard time figuring out how to scale individual pieces on the map. Blender 2.8 was pretty easy as they had a mass selection tool, but.. I'm using 2.79.

It probably needed to be scaled up a bit more after learning a few things here! EDIT: The reason it looks like that was because i turned on auto mirror... by accident. Which I didn't mind so much, made things a bit easier in symmetry. @janetosilio Don't have PS so... thats out x'D I'll try baking them at a higher resolution maybe? The sampling (from my understanding, thats where resolution comes in) in cycles was at 25. Does it need to be higher? Or something?
  16. @janetosilio Aaah, substance painter I have heard of, but thats.. costly. I already spent on MD while on sale, I don't think I'm able to get it... Are there any free alternatives to do that? Or can I just use Blender, just with a high sampling/render on a 2048x2048? @MaxMareOh okay! I do use the MD pattern as the UV as it makes it much easier for me. I'll see about rearranging them though! I do have to resize it to fit the UV grid, as it ends up much bigger. But i never thought of using as much space as possible. Thank you!
  17. Not entirely sure what that means? Texturing and UV mapping is one of my struggles, it seems. The UV layout is how the pattern is on MD. Not sure if that makes a difference?
  18. Interesting! I couldn't find it whatsoever in websearch but I tried in the places tab built in firestorm and found it both by name and tags. Didn't try maitreya though.Glad to know its at least working for others so that puts my mind at ease a little!
  19. Really? I searched the name specifically and hasn't popped up... And the body names should since I go by body names when searching for clothing shops. Not sure if anybody else does that. IE: when searching for clothes, I put the body name I have and any other tags that narrow it down. But again, thats just me. And I've seen other shops do that.
  20. Thank you everyone. I tried baking an AO on a 2048x2048 and it came out SOMEWHAT better. I added an additional layer of clothing texture and a zipper texture and while it is LESS pixely its not completely crisp. It may have worked better if I use multiple textures on each pattern layout, but... I didn't particularly want to redo the rigging and pattern in MD!
  21. Not sure if this is the right forums but... I check-marked the 'Show Place in Search' for my shop and its been a few days but hasn't showed up in search when I ACTUALLY look to make sure its working. How long does it take for effect and when/how do you pay the 30L fee for it to show up? Does it not show up in search for you but it does for others or what?
  22. I do have Marvelous Designer, I got that on sale last year (2019 so technically last year). I'll have to play with the zipper functions and buttons. I have the mesh rigged nicely in Blender (I had to do a bit of manually weighting it around the crotch area instead of just transferring weights), so rigging isn't a problem. It's just a matter of texturing it in a way so its not pixely when zooming real close. I tried to find a vectorizing function like Adobe Illustrator (to which I have used before but don't have access to anymore). But it's all either drawing vector art or some 'vectorizing' thing (which is really making it LOOK like vector art but its not actually vectorized). I'll test out baking it in a bigger size. See how that goes.
  23. I have a texture I'm trying to fix and everything I'm doing is not working. I try to up the resolution to as high as 5000, sharpen it, resize it, everything HOW do I make this NOT pixely?!   25. Under 'Manage Listings', there is a checkbox on the left of 'Date'. Click that and you can mass 'unlist' at the bottom of the listings list. It'll have to be done several times depending how many pages you got, but its still easier than doing it one-by-one.
