    My parcel is open for anybody to visit. If I'm not there it doesn't matter at all if somebody visits there. If they don't leave when asked then I can "kindly help" them to leave. 😉

    Then there is my near neighbour's parcel; group access only, avatar's in the parcel not seen outside the parcel. Very high, not nice looking, forest texture walls all around the parcel. All they can "admire" in their small parcel are those textured high walls close to their noses. (°. o)  I would feel like a prisoner in that parcel. 😧  I want to see the world around my place without any self erected obstacles. I do understand the walls in such case if a neighbour has some ugly builds in their place what are not pleasant to stare at. But in out in the open without any ugly builds in sight why to wall oneself in? Hmm...

    Well, people have different likes. Anyway in many places the general scene would look much nicer without the walls around parcels.

    my attitude has always been your build is my backdrop. I totally agree, if someone is gonna wall themselves in why not just have a skybox, that way everyone is happier.

    I don't believe in security orbs but on my one parcel which is a  public park i have a hornets nest high up in a tree. It scans 30 m every 30 seconds. I'll be standing somewhere on the parcel and all at once I'll hear them swarm out and attack. I just laugh and think ooops got another one. They just push the person to the parcel boundary.

    Sometimes i forget its there and tp a friend in without adding them to the safe list.

It wasn't at all like I saw them and immediately hit the report button. That's not how I am, nor will it ever be.

    They disappeared right after being reported. If you had to guess, do you think the people in charge immediately booted them or do you think it's more likely that they decided to leave after hearing I reported them?

    they probably left because you said you reported them. 

    As others have said, its not possible to takes someone elses stuff.

    However its possible to leave stuff if the land is set so that anyone can rezz.

    I have a couple of harmless prims I sometimes leave behind on my travels around Second Life.

    Just yesterday I grafittied a memorial statue.

    Land permissions are very important, One must make sure they are set correctly.

    If my friend had curtains, could they (would they?) still have done the same thing? Why didn't they go to one of the empty houses around me? Do you think this about voyeurism or bullying? Has this ever happened to any of you? I look forward to hearing from all of you.

    its exhibitionism, but why didn't your friend just ban them?

    I've watched trolling videos where the homeowner tells the troll over and over they need to leave but only after arguing for 15 minutes or more do they  finally ban the intruder.

    If I log in and someone is in my bed, whether I ban them or not depends entirely how they respond to my presence. 

    Oh and please don't be one of those prople that submits an AR because they felt "violated". It wasn't break and enter the land was set to allow visitors.

    Refusing to leave when asked to isn't ARable either even though of the worthies in here will post sections of the TOS about trolling or abusive behavour.

    Use the banhammer and be done with it.

    I had an ex partner that when we painted a room she would agonize for ages about which color to paint it. After days of consideration she would show me her two final choices and ask my opinion.

    I'b be like ummmm they look the same to me. She'd just shake her head and go back to considering which of the contenders would be her final choice. 

    When she finally made her decision she would show me. I'd say oh you finally picked one of the two did you.? She'd laugh and said no silly I found a shade in between.

    What you say is very true, but attuned to the MMO game playing participants on SL. 

    I'm shifting the paradigm to mass-produceable face-fitted heads on CLASSIC avi bodies on the Dating SIM. That's all. I seriously doubt if Plain-Janes or aged grannies/grandpas  would ever want to use mass produced photorealism on their avis for playing on SL MMO Sims. (However, they could use someone else's photo for this and still be able to attract attention.)

    ewww classic bodies? Your whole plan is doomed right there. Anyone who is anyone has a mesh body. They arent gonna give up their mesh bodies for classic just to be on your exclusive sim.

    I have a much better idea. Just give everyone that joins a t shirt to wear with their RL face printed on it.

    And yet again, I'm simply replying to a post someone made. If someone names me in a post, I'm entitled to reply.  

    The point is, too many people see the civil war as good guys vs bad guys.  Evil black-hating southerners, vs good black loving northerners. NOTHING could be further from the truth. Unfortunately painting everything in such simple terms does nothing to add to understanding..

    I was suggesting posting a few Lincoln quotes that if they were more widely known, "they" would be demanding to tear down the Lincoln Memorial.

    Rezzed a tree prim I can't select and delete

    Total noob question here.

    I was looking at the different  shapes of prims one can rezz in the build function.

    I clicked tree, saw the different types, then closed the build function.

    I short while later I wanted to rezz a cube, clicked build,  then clicked  on the ground. Unfortunately tree was still selected, so I rezzed a tree prim. 

    I didn't want that so i tried to delete it, but couldn't select it. Even doing ctrl alt t to highlight it did nothing.

    So now i'm stuck with a tree prim in the middle of the room and I have no idea how to get rid of it. Any suggestions on what I can do to delete it?

    You might be surprised to learn I have sympathy for these Confederate soldiers. Reading the sermons from preachers in the ultra-Christian population of that period we can see how soldiers believed they were fighting for a reality layed out in the Bible. Blacks were seen as inferior to whites and needing subjegation, and their proof was the acceptance of slavery in the Bible. They were willing to sacrifice for a cause beyond themselves, and that is a noble mindset, but unfortunately one that was misapplied as a justication to trample on the 'other'.

    We make excuses for some errors in the past, assign less culpability to them when we say they were "a man of his times". This doesn't justify present day insensitivity toward those who were/are victimized by their mistakes however.

    But yes, bring forth some stories of Confederate soldiers as was suggested. I don't base my interest or sympathy only on those who are perfect.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there are any slaves still alive from that time, so there are no victims to show sensitivity towards.

    Its obviously time for some Abraham Lincoln quotes but they would be reported as inflamatory,  combative and trolling so I'll just pass and leave you to live in your world of black and white.

    Luna made a blanket statement. I was asking for clarification. Is that called baiting now?

    As for Love I generally ignore his posts. I wish I could say he does the same with mine.

    And as a reminder, you might be OP but you have no control over where the thread goes once its started.

    I suppose that could be an interesting feature though.
