    a empty parcel would be only available at mainland, not at the new continents.
    The answer how to find it is in your last line :) search land for sale in the viewer, not only on the forums, ór check also the auctions.
    (btw it isn't your land waiting for you, but you'll have to buy it)

    keep in mind your own house might be not suitable for a 1024 parcel, you'll have to check the size, proportions and Landimpact/prims.

    just using a refresher for yourself is very minor gaming the system... not as it's meant to, but you'll nobody hurt with it.
    But as the poster juse above.. resfresher, claim the house and than try to deliver it to a waiting "friend"... or perhaps even can speak about customer is just really preventing others getting a chance... and so in y opinion rejectable. The random assigning system, where houses go in a pool and randomly get delivered will prevent this behaviour.

    what you describe is just a example of not following the blogs and forums, otherwise you would have known there is nothing available.
    Also don't have to wait for new rumours, because it will be announced around the time the new release is pending.

    when i see what most sellers of male clothes sell at events since some years, the lack of them on this event doesn't really matter, it's at most a exciting texture on a jogging suit or tanktop... more isn't really done for long time, just more of the same... joggingstuf, sneakers, poses, tanktops and tattoes ... bleghhhh
    just a very few stand out on this, but don't seem to be interested to join this big one time a year events.

    After the 9999th tanktop or 99999999th pair of joggingpants i can't be bothered to tp in, every new event round gets more depressing than previous month

    We.. the people with male shapes should get a non mainstream event.. or shoplist  :)  so tired of hoodies, tanks, flossy beards third arms and full inked big muscle shapes...

    is... when its only SL information without rl details or other dangerous infomation, your friend won't have a lot of success when contacting others. And he/she will have to open his/her rl identiy to be able to handle on it. If it's only SL gossip not really worth the trouble.

    yes.. as the others already said :)
    for example for dutchies... we have 21% tax added to premium ( in the new setting) but since many years also for landholding, meaning we pay 21% more than a US or non VAT using country... with those additional fee it's impossible to compete with other estate owners.
    It's btw nothing that LL can help about, it's the European tax rules they are forced to use. In the past the premium subsciption VAT was taken for account by LL, with the new rules only the yearly will be free of VAT addition, so next to the 30% raise for monthly, we also get a additional 21% added on the total new price .. really not fun ;)

    if you'r subject to VAT or not able to buy enough regions to join the Atlas program you'll have to offer exceptional land and services or see your business gone in a few months/weeks.
    The mainland rentals for a nickle and dime are also just  really a nickle and dime, if you can't work without the VAT. It can be a big enjoyment to do it, but can't call it business.
