  13. I don't think LL cares all that much as long as someone is paying the monthly fees. I made a post last week about abandoned full regions being sold in smaller 1024 sq.m rapidly. One particular avatar who has been doing this in the continent I live on is land cutting... which is actually against TOS he is selling a piece of the land to anyone who will take the bait only for that buyer to find out there are tiny 24sq.m parcels surrounding them and that buyer is unable to enjoy the water, roads, etc unless they pay for each tiny square. This scam has been done several times once someone takes the bait the "land baron" will expand to the rest of the region. Selling abdonded land the way LL is currently is only going to perpetrate the problem and litter the mainland continents even further. Generally a individual, land baron or not, that purchase larger parcels are more invested in the region over flipping it for a quick buck. Several of my region neighbors have all reported this land cutting going on and LL doesn't react.

  15. Haha I think that same thing everutime I've looked at them. They have so much potential! I love mountains. There is one continent that has mountains with Linden roads it it is really pretty.
  16. That makes a lot of sense. Iv'e just noticed that happening more often. Full abandoned regions then suddenly a small portion next to the water has been sold directly from LL to a resident. I wonder why they just don't auction the whole region as one. There are plenty of buyers who would buy a whole waterfront region. Whether they are land barons who will then break it up into smaller parcels to rent out or airports, marinas, etc who just want waterfront regions. Whose going to buy the back of a waterfront region when all the water access has been blocked. Perhaps that is why they stay abandoned and not requested for purchase. Which adds to the sea of abandoned land. I get why inland and mountains are always scare and nearly all abandoned but waterfronts... connected to Linden water... the land directly behind the small parcel house stays abandoned.

  18. No the full region(s) are abandoned. The individual(s) put in a request to LL to buy a 1024 sq.m of that abandoned region on the coast end. Leaving the rest of the region abandoned. THEN they sell the 1024 that they purchased from LL.
  19. The land value around them does drop. It sucks seeing so much useful waterfront regions empty and not enjoyed because all the skybox companies.
  20. You cant sell it in parts if the water access is blocked... deeming it useless. That is why there is so much abandoned land behind a small house that is blocking the water access.
  21. Do these skybox rental companies buy waterfront land and they don't actually use it? And why is LL selling 1024 sq.m parcels on full abandoned regions... they person buys a tiny portion of the region closet to the water deeming the rest of the region useless... why not auction the whole region or sell directly to someone who will actually use the whole region.
