  1. If the land is large enough and at least an M maturity rating, I do check the About Land after I teleport to visit the land if I am interested after a walk around. I have only bought land that said no covenants. The first one I bought had no covenants, but I got a message that community standards were for typical suburban structure, no farms or bars. I listed it for sale immediately after stewing about it for a day or two. The present home site is on a large tract at the edge of development, a good place for a horse and dog. I plan to stay for a while. It would have been handy to live close to work, but not going to be, it seems. As far as renting, not in my play book to be either a landlord or a tenant. I own, or I only visit. Maybe I don't quite understand the rules, but I'm doing OK for three weeks old in S L.
  2. So how does one find such land? Or even what kind of activity is permitted prior to buying it? At the least, ground should be classified as multi-family structures, single family homes, agricultural, manufacturing, retail sales, and bars and restaurants. And how do you find out restrictions on land forming before you move in and get told no agriculture and no land forming three days after? That's why I'm selling the first tract I only bought the present tract because it had an existing business on premises that was not sold but returned to the owner of the building and fixtures. But that's easy enough to cure. I just remove the bar and keep my house. Dang inconvenient, though.
  3. OK. Here's some detail to help solidify the answers. I own 4,608 sq m in Malyshkin. formerly the site of the Screw it clothing store. Currently have a corner that looks to be big enough for a 10 X 16 corner bar that came at a good price (L$ 0). After allowing for the structures already in place, with some spare for future additions, I figure I'll have about 700 for the bar. I've done my visiting neighborhood bars in R L, so I know what I'd want. All I need is to get an opinion that I'm legal to open the doors.
  4. Before I get in trouble for opening a bar where not allowed, thought I'd better get a few ideas more than yesterday's question about sources of music. How much land do I need, where, and what rating? This is in the beginning stages, so if anyone has answers to questions I haven't asked, feel free to give me your thoughts. To put it in perspective, I want to open a small "neighborhood bar" establishment. I find more than about five conversations hard to follow, but a good topic will have most of those not talking about plans for later in the evening involved in one conversation. If there is an option for such, would it be possible to make it a friends only place? How would that change the requirements?
  5. Thanks for the answer, Rolig. That's enough to get started looking for a url that plays songs I like. I've found bar patrons come and go, but I have to listen to it the whole time. Makes sense to me to play what I like and hope the patrons do too. I've clicked on accept, but I'll listen to good advice even after I've got the bar running.
  6. How do I get music feeds like a juke box or radio? I see a lot of clubs, but few if any neighborhood bars like the ones with which I grew up and still prefer. It's in the planning stage now, but confident I can find a suitable tract and building. Hope it's as simple as buying music and making mixes as it was on IMVU.
  7. I've got two ajacent tracts that show up as separate properties. How do I merge them into a single property? On the flip side, how do I divide them into more convenient sizes when I'm ready to sell them?
  8. I have a wig/hairstyle,TuTy's SEDUCTION, and the contents of several items bought last night that don't open. The hair looks like it's moving from inventory to my avatar's head, but doesn't show when placed, AND strips me naked to boot. The **CuCu FREEBIE Blouse refuses to come out of inventory at all. The jamesT Dining Table Set (wood) came out of the big box, but won't come out of the smaller box, same with the [WHD] --Rustic Log Cabin Bedroom Set 2 is another case, but it's not limited to multi product boxes. The [WHD] Adirondac Chair - Natural Oak won't come out of it's box either. Can anyone help?
