If the land is large enough and at least an M maturity rating, I do check the About Land after I teleport to visit the land if I am interested after a walk around. I have only bought land that said no covenants. The first one I bought had no covenants, but I got a message that community standards were for typical suburban structure, no farms or bars. I listed it for sale immediately after stewing about it for a day or two. The present home site is on a large tract at the edge of development, a good place for a horse and dog. I plan to stay for a while. It would have been handy to live close to work, but not going to be, it seems. As far as renting, not in my play book to be either a landlord or a tenant. I own, or I only visit. Maybe I don't quite understand the rules, but I'm doing OK for three weeks old in S L.
