How do I give something from inventory? I am in Tombstone Arizona role play, and have a few Apache Tears (semi precious gem stones) after some trips to the place they are found. I have tried to gift one to a baby by giving it to his mother. No go on placing it on the table and letting her pick it up. Others say they are used in trades, so it must be possible if you know the method. Help, please.

Sorry. Count me a block head carved from the hardest granite. I panicked. Next day, I contacted the leader of the group and got step by step instructions. Still didn't find what I was looking for, so started looking more closely at the entire first page, It was just below the groups write up and photo, not the bottom of the page. Thanks for your help.

I presume that means "Contacts" is in a different place than the group found under "People"?

I received citizenship in Tombstone Arizona wild west role play. The instructons were to go to contacts, find the group, and see info to see if my status changed and to get my badge. I have no idea where to start looking for contacts. Please help.

Thanks for the information. I remember that I checked the weekly payment schedule, but don't know how to find my ad again to uncheck it. Neither of the offered solutions works unless I can find the ad again. It's probably really simple, but this is only the second ad I've placed. The first one was long enough ago that I don't remember how I canceled it that time. I have a problem with jargon, and especially the jargon of people who are comfortable with computer-ese. I can turn the black box on and off, but don't ask me to mess with anything more complicated without instructions in English. (grin)

I placed a classified ad for help wanted and no longer need it. How do I cancel it?

I cannot get to my home region since downloading the current update yesterday. It takes 3 or 4 tries to get the region capabilities, and then nothing happens. This morning, I dozed off long enough for the coffee to get to room temperature and stll had the the same screen displayed as when I started. Is it your problem in Moorinda, or mine? I have to ignore several parts of the new download or cancel the download. I suspect that means I'm not running with all features. Or is it ours? Does the new download mean my computer is no longer capable of visiting without something else downloaded? Two to three hours later, I tried again but went to another site. It worked. Went home to Moorinda, and lost my cabin though the frame was there and the contents were mostly there. Went to my saloon, and a part of the contents weren't there. I think it's a Second Life problem in Moorinda from that experience. Willing to try anyway, I tried to change outfits but got a warning that there were no outfits stored despite the list or that I wore one when I got there..That makes it partly my problem. How do I make an outfit if it won't accept either shape or skin? I tried to load one of the stock avatars but that didn't work either. Emergency is OVER. I ran a system cleanup and defragmented afterward. Problem with ome items continued until I ran a quick clean up and another run with the defragmenter. The system seems to work just fine now, once I sort out the wardrobes for individual outfits which all wound up in one outfit without a name. Thanks all who tried to help..

Thanks, Freya. Part of the extra charge was my fault. I went where I thought I needed to go and all of a sudden had to pay or go without. I paid and didn't argue because I had a virus about the second year of computing and that was a real pain.

Yes, I use Norton. I guess I'll just live with the problem until next renewal, at least until I've paid the bill at the dentist for filling two cavities, or win the lottery, unless I can cajole them into a free download. Last time cost me $90. An unexpected expense of that size is a bit out of budget right now because I still live in the Real World and like to eat regularly. (ear to ear grin)

I've searched and found some suggested solutions to doubled entries in chat, sent and received, but those were with a wireless keyboard. I am old school and use a hard wired connection. The problem started after a forced logout during what I guess was S L maintenance on 6 May 2016. I need help. One website visited to run a pingtest was fruitless because my plain English was uable to decipher the jargon to find he pingtest starting point. If I have to do an uninstall again, how do I do a complete clean uninstall and are there any intermediate steps before I install the S L again?.

Contact the stream providers = I sent them an IM to ask for details of what they provide since there was no response to my greeting when I visited their sites. None of them ever answered, so I still have no clue which one if any meets my needs. But never mind. I forgot about copyright. That kills the idea, embalms it, and buries it in Potter's Field. I have no intention of fighting the system from the get go. I don't even know where the starting line is when dealing for the rights to perform in public, and expect it would take longer and be more expensive than it's worth to me. The contact with Virtual DJ could have saved me a lot of dashed dreams had they reminded me of the copyright rules requiring a license to play in public. No problem. I'll just delete them and the program. Grudgingly, I give you a kudo for your answer. It provided more facts than all the other responses to my inquiries.

How do I make contact with these streaming outfits? I've sent IMs to several of them requesting a conversation to discuss what they offer, and have not been contacted. If any of them are serious about that, the least they can do is tell me whether they are interested in what I propose. I just need to play my music so I can do my act on my cue. I don't need their music because their choices don't often match my choices. If none of the streaming outfits are willing to offer the services I want, how do I play my choices without one?

Does Windows 10 media player have the capability to broadcast to my land in Second life? From the brief information provided, it seens possible, but I am not sure and would like to get expert opinion before I try. I gather from that summary that I need the URL for the receiver but I don't have a spare URL in my jeans. If that is a viable option, do you provide the channel URL to do so or what do I need for that? It would be used for about a weekly performance.

I moved my saloon, Mandy's Prowling Cougar, from Cloudville to Moorinda as Mandy's Homestead. How do I completely delete the old listings in your records? How do I replace them with the new information?

Maybe not able to do fancy stuff, but Paintshop worked just fine for a white sign with red letters. I'm not an expert either because I just used it to crop and resize photos, so all of this is brand new territory. The biggest surprise was how easy it was when I uploaded the photo to Drop Box and moved it to inventory. The hardest part was reading all the instructions on Paintshop's Help pages to get started. LMAO

OK. Thank you for the link. Gives me a starting point. It is a fixed sign, "Mandy's Diner", for the first ever try to do this. I've got Corel's Paintshop. Am I SOL or does that have similar capabilities to Photoshop? If it does, I'll struggle through the Help until I find the instructions, but I don't want to spend time on an ultimately fruitless search.

I thought it would be for you technical people since it seems technical to me. Another sign I had used a texture, but the background disappeared. I contacted the creator of that sign and he said I needed to add a prim for another texture layer, but was awfully short of instructions how to do that. So sorry if I over estimated your abilities.

I want to upload a photo to my photo album. How do I do that? First answer wasn't quite detailed enough. My fault. I didn't provide enough detail in my question. I've only uploaded one picture, I think, and can't remember how I got to the place where the "upload photo" button is located, and kept getting answers how to load a new skin or other body parts after creating them. It could be in plain sight but overlooked because "that would be too simple", if you know what I mean. The photo is actually a screen shot made so I could share the photo with friends. I discussed my plans for Halloween 2016 with a S L friend. She wants to see the inspiration. I can do that in email, but have no clue how to do it in S L.

This is part 2 to my original question. Seems just buying a song and having it play when I want it won't work without a lot of searching for the song in a changeable format compounded by a load of technical steps in between that I don't want to mess with. I have some performers at my saloon who seem able to change the song played and start it when they want. How do they do that? I know there is a link I have to put in 'Sound" first, but it seems to work like a radio. If I can find one of those, perhaps I can do my act after all.

I have two dances, the solo flamenco and the solo Can Can, that I intend as stage acts. Each of those and the burlesque dances go with certain songs and fall flat when the music isn't right. How do I buy a recording of the music and play it when I'm doing my act? Or is it not possible at this time? I used to do it in IMVU and presumed I could here too, but haven't figured it out on my own. I even had a pretty good version of Patsy Cline's 'Walking After Midnight' and had a fun version of "I Enjoy Being A Girl" and the "Stripper"

Thanks to both of you for the good ideas, but still looking for information about how to stop the advertising. I pay for advertising, and need to stop that. I know I had to click on something to write the advertising and set the level of expenditure per month, but haven't found it again to end it.
