Trompe L'Oeil's latest freebie for the Stay At Home Club is the 5LI Pomeroy Glen Chair with a 1LI Ottoman. There are 24 different plaid fabrics to choose from! (https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hyde Park/208/167/22)

One of their previous Club gifts was a 3 seater outdoor bench/sofa. I'm not in world so I can't double check my front lawn to see if this is from the same line. Definitely the same fabrics at least

Off-topic: Some serious weirdness going on. Just logged on with my alt to go to a newly-acquired house and there was an on-screen message: "Choose a male or female avatar. You can change your mind later." Is this a throwback to the early days? (I shut it down immediately, so didn't see what changes my avatar may have undergone.)

Yeah I actually heard several people today in world talk about getting the same thing

From reading the forums so many people want water. How about a region based on rivers & canals. This could follow many different themes, from French canal homes, Venetian type areas, canal boat moorings, small island & inlets for shacks or camping. There are so many ideas & themes based around water & it may help with the current Game Of Homes situation with so many people abandoning until they get a water view.

I'd love those, little islands especially. I know some people are thinking 'Why not just get a houseboat'? For myself and I think many others we're looking for some land and water, not just water

If I remember correctly we were let in for a look a few hours before the release and the vics were on the landpage for about 4 days.

Yeah. A ton of people were camped out at the former region edge then wooosh, the heavens opened and we were allowed across a (then) blank mountain region that connected to the new Vics. We couldn't go on the Vic regions but we could cam alllll the way around, look at the details, open doors. Patch and another Mole came up and talked to us at that edge for a few minutes. Then a few hours later they appeared on the land page.

  5. That picture of Mole National Park is beautiful. I'm hoping for looooots of trees. Evergreens, red pines, etc. Nice and dense that actually gives off a forest feel. They're probably going to use some big rocks, possibly as 'parcel dividers'. I'm also looking forward to less structured/orderly region layouts and "roads"

    Very cool house!

LOVE that "In case of interstellar travel" poster 😄

May I ask where the big pile of books in the living room is from? Ooooh, and the chair in the office? If you don't mind sharing.

Thank you! 😄 The stairway pile of books is from 8f8's Storyteller's Burrow gacha, 'Stairway to Knowledge'. The office chair is Trompe Loeil's Geostar gacha, 'Pacifica'.

  8. Finishing up this crazy journey, we head in to the living room. More of a conversation spot with games and a focus on music

    Snapshot_241.jpg.0d57abeb7cac7953ab5c6cdf8b88d93b.jpg

Then we head upstairs. In the second floor hallway I have a quasi office set up

The front bedroom has been turned into a creative art studio

Last and probably also least, the actual bedroom. Here is where you can tell I ran out of prims (and also just don't care too much about it atm)

It's been fun working with this Victorian. I was hashtag blessed by the location I got and haven't moved since opening day, but am looking forward to living in the woods!

  9. So I figured I should probably take pictures of my place before hopping ship to the new log cabins. I'm more of a modern (or unique theme) kinda gal usually, but the Victorian landscaping was just too tempting. Also none of these pics have been edited because I definitely don't have time for that. Here we go!

The house is nicely fenced in with some stonework and hedges on one side, with a hill behind it. Directly to the west is the ocean!

In the front yard some plants have grown wild for an unusual but peaceful oasis

Most of my house is unusual, tbh

The entryway is filled with a bunch of plants and knicknacks

Thank the Lord for plants I can't kill

Really didn't know what to do with this nook/doorway so turned it into what I call the "Diabetes Corner"

The front room is a book hoarder's paradise. Oh, and more knicknacks. Please excuse the mess

Having lived so far in bigger Victorian homes, i decided to downgrade size wise and try the Doyle, which is more compact. It was fun decorating it, just to find out that I had no more prims left for the garden..... which is such a pity, given the fabulous location of my home next to a pond.
