i saw one, it was great, but since i saw almost a couple on the market i wanted to explore and have more options to choose.. but it seems that there isn't a detail list with all the mesh merchants..

Why not try bento heads? I've made a couple oriental shapes using the Catwa Catya bento head. Its expensive but then you can change up your look at will with just a different shape and skin rather than buying an all new mesh head every time.

Do you want a more realistic looking head or are you more interested in a more animated look?

  3. Moon makes a long hair if i recall. She may not sell it anymore and she only has a few of her hairs on the marketplace. So, I don't have a picture of it and the marketplace link to "inworld store" is not her current location.

Now that I think of it, this doesn't seem very helpful at all.. xD

I want to flat out know what's the NEWEST TREND RIGHT NOW in SL    and I wan't to know all about it. Like a dummies guide.

Bento Mesh Heads: There is a WIDE variety of the bento mesh heads but they are definitely the latest trend. The link that AnnistynSL provided will help you find the stores that supply these.

Mesh Body: To get rid of all the weird jagged edges the classic body can have. Once again, that link will help you find stores.

Bento Hands: They wiggle! How can you resist? These are a must in my opinion. You can find these at Vista Animations and I think that SLink MAY (I dont know for sure) have put some out as well.

Skin Appliers for Mesh Bits: Can't have mesh bits without a skin! You would just look silly. L'etre makes some very lovely male skins that I think you may find appealing since you are wearing Frukk

Fitted Mesh Clothing: This is also a great change if you haven't already. Remember having to mess with your shape to make your clothes fit? Well not anymore! With fit mesh the clothes fit your body pretty well.

If you have any questions or need any help in world, I am more than happy to assist you. Feel free to send me an IM!

Oh wow. I have never heard of that body. I really like the muscle definition on it. The thing that sucks though too is that, a lot of the skin creators that I use for my husbands av (he doesnt play so its kinda become my alt) have specific appliers. Omega is great but sometimes it messes up and your kneecaps look like potatoes and you have extra toes.

Well speaking of normal I've actually had a run in it seems with more people wanting to make their avatars short lately and then getting upset if they are told they need to make them abit taller when I am at my Star Trek rp sim. I mean kid av's are allowed under parent supervision, but not allowed to be on sim alone. They are allowed to visit their parents and like for example Mommy and/or Daddy/Daughter work day and Easter egg hunts. Kid friendly things like that. Not as part of the rp though. The argument is more common with women avatars then men avatars lately. Honestly I think they send me to deal with it because they probably find it funny to watch the Klingon deal with those type of headaches. lol I tell them straight and point blank though. I don't care how short, normal, or real your trying to be when you walk threw this door you need to look like your grown. Period end of story. Tweak what you need to tweak, but we don't play the guessing game around here. lol ;)

I think it's about the game and trends evolving just like they do in RL. If you look at beauty standards over the years, it has changed drastically. SL reflects this trend as well. Back in 2009 when I started, if you were short even in the slightest, you were considered a child av. My av height was almost all the way up and I was still a "shorter" female av back then. Now, I have my height set at 6ft and I'm A LOT shorter than others but I would hope that my curves and chesticles would point out that I am indeed not a child LOL.

I am looking for one that is curvy and sexy, but also has a lot of options for clothing.

I would normally recommend the Maitreya mesh body but seeing as you want something a little more curvy, I suggest getting the Belleza body because it comes with 3 different base body types Freya, Isis, and Venus. There is a decent amount of content out for Belleza as well.

If you want something that is thicker as well as curvy, I suggest the Slink Hourglass body, but I will warn you that creating a shape for this one can be a bit frustrating as it's base dimensions are very different from the other bodies on the market.

Edit:: Also, the Maitreya body now has bento hands which is an added bonus!

  8. I organize my inventory little by little by putting all loose items in a "Sort" folder. From there I label subfolders with 1,2,3,ect. I work on one folder at a time until its all sorted, renamed, unboxed, and deleted as I deem fit.

I agree it would be VERY nice to be able to sort offline but when you break up the workload like that, its not so bad. :3

With mesh bodies I'm not so sure.  Yes, mesh does away with some of the awkward joints of the system shapes, but so many mesh female bodies are so badly proportioned that they seem to have evolved a long way from what women look like in real life.  I know that many bodies are fitmesh and so the proportions are adjusted by the owner, but it still puzzles me why someone would want to go to the expense of a mesh body just to make it look unrealistic!

That's kind of the beauty of second life though. Anyone can be whatever or look however they want. It's not the mesh body that looks bad itself in your eyes. As you stated, the mesh body is rigged to the same skeleton as the system av. That being said, anyone can make a shape that is not necessarily aesthetically pleasing to you, but may be to them.

Personally, I love mesh. It took me a little while when it first started coming out and I only really considered a mesh head sometime last year. The bodies are 1000x more realistic than the system bodies. With the release of bento, customization with the smoothness of mesh have been married and its fantastic! Change can be scary and the learning curve for new things on SL is very high. It took some time but once I got the hang of it, I knew I could never go back to system anything.

To each their own though! :3

  10. I think everyone is getting a little too personal here and should maybe get back on track.

But to reply to you :3

Thanks for the advice, but I think I am all right. Considering there is nothing 2009 about my avatar other then the fact it is a system shape I'll stick with what I got. Appreciate it though. :)

There's no nice way of saying this, but you absolutely could have fooled me. O.o

It just looks very dated. But if you like your av that's all that really matters. But in my eyes your av doesn't stand a chance against my husbands av.

  11. My suggestions are either SLink or Signature.

The SLink body has a TON of fitted mesh options. Try shopping events such as TMD (The Mens Department) for either items or new creators that you would like to see more of.

I suggest signature for someone who likes a more toned body as it has a more defined body. Also, there is an event monthly strictly dedicated to items for this body.

Personally, I went with SLink for my male alt as I liked the setup they had for their alpha HUD. I plan on getting the Signature Gianni body soon :)
