Changing viewers did the trick for me (Singularity to FS) - relog didn't help - btw this was a WaterHorse that would not detach.

SF Designs, Hudson's by Candace hudson, League, *Coco* by cocoro lemon, Emery, Happy Undead, Indi Designs (+shoes),*G Field* by cerberus noel (+western and cutest boots on the grid "short western boots"), to name a few. I didn't name the shops that USED to have awesome legacy but who went to all fitted mesh for mesh bodies now. Of course mesh clothes work if they include the standard sizes and alpha layers but many mesh shops now no longer include those. The shops I mentioned sell rigged mesh for legacy avs with standard sizes and alpha layers.

The only time you will see "Hello, avatar" in local chat is when someone within 20m of you rezzes/creates an object and opens the script dialogue in order to add a new script. It's unusual for rez to be activated in a club. Most of them disable it. On the subject of a friend not allowing you to explain before removing or muting you - I'd say they weren't much of a friend. And by the way, that has happened to me as well on one occasion. I thought they were on drugs because I had no bloody idea what they were talking about and they never explained. But - no loss. As far as disappearing avs go, mesh avs frequently are slow to rez or "disappear"except for the tag because SL just can not handle mesh well and it's been having all sorts of problems since..it's especially bad on weekends. The rezzing priorities are totally munted. I see this frequently. Sounds as if LL Lag (mesh lag) was to blame since you were in a club. I see nothing nefarious going on here.

A secret you'll never hear on this forum or any other forum inhabited by "creators" and those who bring it up are generally ganged by the mob and shut down. MESH LAGS. And yes it can nearly freeze you if you're close to it with an older PC especially. Mesh aircraft..you know the ones uploaded fropm turbosquid and resold here as original work... (not all mind you but at least one "popular" jet builder has been caught at it) with rotating mesh blades are the worst. Unless you desire some odd shape that only LLMesh can provide, then try using legacy prims/scuplts since everyone can see those. Many can not even see mesh still because the mesh viewer LAGS and not everyone is wealthy enough to go buy a new computer everytime the mob here tells them to. This goes double for clothing. If you want to be seen by everyone in SL, instead of as a half-naked blob by many, the wear legacy prims. Mesh looks no better than any other clothing or build. It..is...not...."better".......except for the "builder" (Uploader).

It's bollocks. You will not need to use the official SL viewer and viewer 1 interface lovers won't need to give it up. SINGULARITY will still work. It's the only viewer 1 interface TPV that will, because it's being updated. So let's put the rumours to rest. Linden decisions, including viewer 2 have been responsible for the vast majority of any exodus in SL. I would suggest the loss of a huge percentage more if it weren't for Singularity remaining viable. However, that said, there will be a lot that will leave because their computers can not handle the laggier mesh viewers. Unlike lots of you mean people who say "good riddance" or "Luddite," I say only how sorry I am to those people who won't be able to log in again when this occurs.

I suggest it's NOT on their end because the same thing has been happening to me. I use the most recent version of IE on Windows 8. It's also everyone's shop, not just theirs. 20-50% of all images intermittently show only placeholders on marketplace. Refreshing sometimes does the trick but people should not need to refresh every page to see the images. It's only the Linden website on which there are probs. So, no, it's not just on their end. And yes, it began about a week ago. Carry on mate.....
