I got a "confused" reaction to this, so I'll elaborate.  All log homes are configured to either face the mailbox, or toward the left if you choose to rotate them.

The Grand View model comes with spectacular windows in the great room, ideal for taking in "grand views."  Unfortunately, it is rare that a log home owner can actually rotate a Grand View so that the windows allow for the viewing of something worthwhile.

In the referenced scenario, the Grand View windows actually could point to the lovely small lake, but the owner prefers the Overlook, which means a forest animal must be sacrificed to appease the log home gods.

The worst scenario would be if the new owner actually used the Grand View home, but kept it pointed at at the mailbox.  When that happens. no amount of forest animal sacrifices will appease the gods.  Sacrificing the owner is the only option.

As I gave the confused reaction I’ll elaborate. I meant that for the new owner. As someone who’s thrown back dozens of homes as they face the wrong way I don’t understand why. I get that everyone is different but just, why?

  2. I’d been away from SL for awhile so missed all the early releases. A friend posted a video about the houseboats & trads so I came on to take a look. Got my first house, a houseboat on Puddleduck & thought it was amazing. Many homes later (because you have to try them all) I have a Victorian on the sea in Pelham Station & that’s where I’ll be staying. My alt will be giving the stilt homes a try though.

I haven't been rolling very much, but in the last few days I rolled a couple of times and both times I landed waterside Victorians. I landed another lovely one so now I have my original seaside to release. I must have rolled for months and months to get this one so it feels a little sad to abandon, but my new pretty will help me get over it.

I will let it go around 4:30 SLT.

... & I got it. Finally I get my coastal Victorian. TY so much for the heads up.

If someone sells the access to an account (password and log on) away from SL (say comms through email and payment through transfer or paypal say), then does that create a grey area? There is no ownership, we all rent our parcels from LL so there is essentially no asset that we can transfer to someone else in exchange for payment. But if it took place outside of that how could one track it? Does anyone know or is clearer on that than me? All this has made me wonder about that.

Way back years ago it was against the TOS to sell an account but I don’t know if this still applies. I know I tick that I’ve read the TOS but we all know few of us actually read the whole thing 🤣

  5. I’m going to throw my 2 pence in. I own a mainland property. My partners business is run through there & there’s not much in the way of community. When I heard about Bellisseria I thought I’d check it out & I was delighted to find an active community, people would chat when you were looking around, it felt friendly & so I upgraded an alt & started looking for my perfect spot. Over time I found neighbourhoods getting quieter, empty homes & most of the time I’d be the only person in the region. I started noticing a lot of homes were taken by the same land group. It’s not just one region, it’s many areas you’ll find these houses. They have very little done to them: an extension added, a few bits of furniture but basically empty. I don’t know what they are doing but i find it disruptive to the community feel. It’s also very disheartening when you see a nice area being released & find the majority of property is taken by the same group. Because of this I’m letting my alt go back to basic when the month runs out & will move back to my mainland house. If they are making money out of it I’m sure the Lindens will find out eventually. If they are just hoarders then I’m glad they have found something that makes them happy.

It's June 2020 and I just updated to the Premium when I saw YT videos on the new Linden Boathouses. I registered and there are none available. Is there a waiting list or a way we can check for when they become available?

You just have to keep checking the house page until one becomes available. They can be hard to get because they are popular but they pop up now & then. People sometimes announce when they are releasing one on the ‘When did you last see a Bellisseria house available’ thread in this forum & there is more information on the thread about help in getting a new home.

  7. I have a Mac & the lag is a killer in Mac OS as my graphics card doesn’t like it. If I switch to Windows it runs perfectly. I run Firestorm so it may be worth a try if you are on a Mac. Alchemy is great for Macs as well as previously stated. I just need to save for a new machine ☹️

I must confess I did not follow this thread anymore since the thousands of Loghomes appeared. They seem to have lasted quite a while but by now I see only Meadowbrook again. Are they still releasing new regions? Is there another theme in sight? Or is this thread only about abandons nowadays?

Mainly abandons as the releases are few & far between. Apparently the moles are all busy on the birthday celebrations & they may have a new theme announced then but no one really knows. There’s still a lot of work for moles to do around the log home area as well, railway, landscaping & putting homes in the empty spaces.

Hi, I just became a premium member online at the market place, how do I get to my premium home please

Also, if you are after one of the newer homes you have to see Bellisseria in the options.

@Loretta String I was under the impression that lands already placed were no longer subject to terraform. So this is possibly bad news for me as well. @Tamara Adored, why are you concerned that they may terribleform your area too?

My house in on the big lake, currently has a great view but the land between me & the lake is flat & not yet terraformed. I’d love a railway to go past but am worried what may go there instead. I’d hate for a hill to suddenly appear.
