What is wrong with that house in Eastwind Marina ?
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Eastwind Marina/97/118/23
Plumbing problems? Is it haunted ?
it changes hands from the moment it got released.. I must have abandoned it at least 15 times
I got it once & a neighbour was playing horrible music through their voice mic. It’s one of my pet peeves so it was abandoned very quickly.

I’m in Ringing Palms & the OW homes are all taken but the OL haven’t been. Either the OL haven’t been released or they just aren’t appearing on the land page. For those looking for a good OL with a view check out Single Strand. It’s not released yet but they have some epic homes looking out on the void. There are also 2 boat Rez zones & a beach bar on the island.

I wanted a stilt home as I love water, palms, beach etc. I’ll admit I was a little disappointed when I first saw them as most areas seem so cramped so I made some criteria for myself. No spot where I’m looking straight into someone else’s house/deck. West facing as I love sunset over water. Side neighbors are ok as long as there is space to landscape them out. I wouldn’t knock something back if it faced a void as I did that once before & nothing was built there for over 6 months. I got lucky & got Ringing Palms. The front faces west but I’ve worked a deck onto it to take in the vast emptiness of ocean. It’s an OW but there is just a short stretch of water between me & the beach (good place to put the boat), unobtrusive side neighbors & right near a beach bar. It’s where I’ll stay for now until I see what fills the void.

There must be something in the air lately. So many unhappy people & it seems no matter what LL does it’s wrong for someone. We already know what the other houses are like so why do we need the same number of tries as types of houses? I’m trying to understand why the mass release has upset people but I’m struggling. Isn’t part of the thrill of GOH not knowing what you will end up with? I’ve enjoyed seeing all the different settings & places. Yeah, there have been plenty of duds & quite a few repeat catches but it’s still fun. I’m not having a go at anyone, I just don’t understand. The homes are for everyone, not just the GOH players.

A few posts above this I mentioned that Harpoon, Gannet Rock and others that were released yesterday still have all their OL houses available. I think that's the case with lots of regions... Guess they're not popular
I was randomly clicking & picked up a pier at Gannet Rock. No neighbors on either side & a clear sunset view. Looking around, a lot of the OL homes are on the waters edge. It might be worth trying an OL. You might get lucky.

I don't know if there are many stilt homes available right now but I'm releasing an end of pier in a nice spot if anyone wants to try for it.

I desperately needed a distraction from watching the news so clicked on a Houseboat on the land page and got one in Baby Buoy (cute name!!), a new stilts area region. All boats are Linden Home. I clicked on some parcel land and the ones I checked have never been claimed yet. Fresh boats
added: ooops my boat vanished when I clicked the controller, just a heads up
Two hours after you posted I clicked on a houseboat to see what happened & I got one in Tide Down so there are still boats available in the new areas.

I'm just hoping the demo region is meant to show what houses are coming, and not what the surrounding theme will look like. When I think of chalet, I think of homes in the mountains. I'll save judgement for when they're actually released. There's so much potential, and usually what the region looks like means more than the house itself, as any hopper can tell you.
I agree that the demo area looks bleak but I’m thinking there may be snow involved once they are built. Very steep rooftops, the window boxes etc gives me an Alps vibe.

Excuse my apparent takeover of this thread today but I just want to say don't give up the dream. Although no railway (shut up about the damn railway) my alt just landed the one place I thought I never would see but have always felt the best spot for me in the continent. So thank you person who gave up this, I have in fact stood by it many times hoping to live in it. THANK YOU! Second Life Maps | West End (no I won't be popping it back in and certainly won't be trying to flip it
Congrats on finally getting this. It’s an epic spot & it seems like someone was smiling down at you today x

Malayaa's trad from yesterday is going back. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Stine/128/80/29
I love this place, I hope someone gets it who will stay. If you think you want to do so, send me a message here in the forums & maybe we can arrange a time to try. If I don't hear from anyone, I'll release it at 11:30.
When you stand on the rock in the water, it feels so REAL, like it's upriver from a big city (past the houseboats somewhere), just at the point where the remote suburbs start. Upriver houses line the riverbank like they used to build them in the 60's - backyards down to a (protected) grassy riverbank, sparse trees. Across the river there's a sandy picnic area. Great place to put a canoe out, ready to push into the water (in-region!), and raise a couple of SL kids
Or put a motorboat out and zip upriver to the fairgrounds or downriver to Fourze Lake! Is it Bandit that makes the boats that come with an innertube or something, like water skiing?
This looks fantastic. I’ll be trying too.

sorry I have lost track. What is the trad in Sallie? is it teh all sand lot near river? if so I am interested
https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sallie/28/232/0
It’s not the nice river lot. It’s just a standard trad that has been doing the rounds for a couple of days now.

That trad in Sallie is back...again. I’ll hold it for awhile & warn when it’s going back.

Other uses:
There is also a breed of cat called "Ragamuffin" - https://www.hillspet.com/cat-care/cat-breeds/ragamuffin
It's the name of a cool little online store from Scotland, and a coffee company in California (hmmm...). It is also the title of a 2019 movie about Christian recording artist Rich Mullin, and a book, "The Ragamuffin Gospel" by Brennan Manning.

SSP?
in Linden Homes
Going back to the topic of houseboats, when I first saw the trads with houseboats around them I thought they were awful & I would never live in one. My current house has houseboats on 2 sides & is so wonderfully landscaped I think it is the best Bellisseria house I’ve ever had. I’ll reserve judgement on the new regions until I actually seen them.

Going to drop this Vic at 12 pm SLT - I LOVE LOVE this spot so much... but I need to free up for a Stilt house.
This lovely Vic has water front view and railroad behind the house. This is a pretty spot. I derendered the red tree in the front.
Pictures attached to show spot - This Vic has add-ons.
Just this morning I said to my partner that my perfect house would have water one side, train line on the other. I missed this . Oh the pain....now back to the election party!

When did you last see a Bellessarian home available?

I’ve had this happen a few times. Seems like the house gets taken but the system is taking a few minutes to update. It’s annoying when you are chasing a home someone has just released.
