@sven - Really? Well in some ways I figured some people might be happy like that and as much as I am in a way, the whole gray objects and slow loading of buildings and objects makes me a bit well.. frustrated at times. And it's probably my computer because the viewer doesn't seem fast for me sometimes, even with low settings. And I made sure my wifi is as good as it can be (and it's on full bars too). The whole anti-virus might be it but what your saying about the disallowing the scan to run.. but i'll try it. @Ren Toxx - That's interesting that you do, and I give kudos for still having an ancient laptop. I'm sorry about that it runs sluggish for you as well. Usually, I'd like to have SL distance a bit far (not at the highest), and hopefully soon I can have the ground not so weird looking. Maybe it is a connection issue but at the same time the connection seems fine, and like I said to sven, the bars are at it's highest. Well considering I have uninstalled SL again I am not sure what I had it on, but al l know it wasn't high, so it may of been to the low end (if that makes sense). For the connection question I connect to home wifi. And I made sure to check the regular SL (from what I remember) and even with its tweaks it's not running that fast but I guess theres only so little to expect from some things.

First off, forgive me if this is in the wrong section. My question is, does anyone have a hard time wanting to play SL and deal with slow loading of buildings or objects when you teleport somewhere? Because i have a low-end computer its a bit annoying for me so I keep deciding to quit and then go back today but if you guys have the same issues do you just pass it off or what? I tried lowering my settings or raising some but still the whole slow loading and gray buildings annoy me. Do you think I should stick with SL even through that? Is it worth to keep playing on a low-end computer?

@Rosie Eun - My apologies for being confusing but all I meant really was asking if anyone else thought the clothing was, "to sexy", or something along those lines. Apologies again. Hey guys I was jut wanting your opinions on a question I have, and it may be a bit complicated to explain but I'll try to! While in marketplace most of the time I have a hard time finding exactly what I want whether it be for male avatars or female ones. Say if I wanted cute clothing that sort of has a kawaii/anime charm to it right? When I search it most of the time it comes up with well.. revealing outfits. Now I know SL is for adults and all but seeing as how most of the clothing is sexy even when it's supposed to be cute is a turn off in a way. I guess maybe it's because I'm still 18 and not of the older generaiton like most are whether people are in their 20's or 30's. On another note it's also hard to find things for myself because I get a bit lazy to keep searching through like 100 pages of clothes on the marketplace just for one or two things when I can't find it while typing in a specific name. Does anyone else find the clothing to be to sexy, and is anyone else as lazy as me with searching for things?

While I have to say playing as a furry, animal, mythical creature, or whatever you may want to be in your SL I mainly choose to have sort have a potrayl of myself of how I'd want to look in real life whether it be a slimmer body, longer hair, pretty facial features and so forth. While I do embrace how I am, I just think having a human female avatar who represents me or is an extension of myself is wonderful.

I personally find it hard to locate things that are just right for child avatars whether they be female, male (or whatever gender you would want them to be). Most of the time the issue is with the hands and feet, and considering I don't put money into this virtual world that's my disadvantage in all of this.

Thanks for the birthday wish! Oh I didn't know that if it does take time for them to recognize it, if they had one look at me they'd be like. "You aren't eighteen!" because of how short I am, I appear to look like I'm twelve, haha. Anyway, if nothing changes I shall send a support ticket. And I did indicate my preference in both preferences and search. I didn't know about the Marketplace area though for indicating my maturity preference, so I shall check it out. Thank you, I hope everything works soon but if not, I'll take your advice.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask for help here since the knowledge base isn't that helpful in finding an answer. So I turned eighteen today and I am able to go to the moderate rated locations in SL now but when I go to to search part its grayed out despite my preferences being on general, moderate, and adult. On the search it says that it's blocked due to my maturity settings, but I made sure they weren't on just general or general, moderate. Help?

I thank everyone for the replies! Sorry that I haven't answered them right away, I have been busy with school and was meaning to log on but never got to the chance. So its interesting to see whats what around here. I don't know if the update I got just now was for Project Sunshine but if it is great! And I hope any errors people have are fixed, errors stink!

Oh wow, thanks for telling me that Ren! Well I can't wait for it to be released on the regions that don't have it yet. I hope this makes the SL users happy somewhat with all the things they put in the project. Well hopefully that's true! I can't wait for it to be active in all the regions grid wise like you said.

Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum ahead of time.. Well I know what you might be thinking, 'she lives under a rock' or, 'you don't go on youtube that much!' Well the youtube part is true but I recently got back into SL and heard about 'project sunshine' which must have already happened if I'm not mistaken due to the video being uploaded in May of 2013 and it's August, but.. who knows people can work on things for a long time. Now I watched the video but I only have to question it, about the whole avatar loading faster or that you won't be stuck as a cloud for to long. (if I am wording it correctly) does it only affect computers that run SL better? Like the whole loading part of it? Because if it happened the project, I don't see that much imporvement, but it could just be my crappy laptop.

Uhm, just because i'm not to involved in Second Life doesn't mean I don't go around trying to play it and talk to others, I try and sometimes I can't find anything to do is all due to my limitations. But rude much? Even if I was to try and create my own shape I would still be unimpressed with my own work, some people like myself know they can't do something as well as someone else, and I tried let me tell you, I was unhappy with the results. Thanks for replying anyway I guess.

I know, I know.. people who probably who see this are like, 'What a newbie, she can't even fork over lindens for a little thing' but guess what, not everyone has money to lend and plus I am not one to fork over cash for a game I am not to involved in. Anyways. Does anyone know where I can get free child shapes that correctly size everything on the avatar? I mean like they don't leave you with big ears, hands or feet? Because I get a bit mad at that, especially since I am not able to buy full versions of shapes. And if you link me to a location in-world I can only go to G-rated places so far. I'd like little boy shape as well, and if possible though not required, maybe he can be on the short side? I like little child avatars who are small and cute! (Uh.. don't take that the wrong way please?) A-anyways. Can anyone help a girl out?

Well, on Second Life I recently bought a teen boy shape from the marketplace for like $0 and it's very good because it doesn't have any 'demo' writing on it, and it's perfect for me, the only problem is the feet and hands are still large. So does anyone know where I can get some small hands and feet if possible? Like around the marketplace or in world for $0? I know it's asking a bit much but I can't buy $L yet unfortunately ^^' Oh and if anyone wants to send me some in world then that'd be great to!

Okay so, over the past few days I have been buying a hell of a lot of items from the Marketplace and honestly I don't know what to do. What I mean is, you know how we have the 'recieved items' category now in our inventory? Can we delete the items there if we have them in our inventory?

Well recently my laptop has been fixed and I re-downloaded SL. Since I believe last year the Teen Second Life was closed, and all of those of age (whatever it now maybe be) was moved to the main grid. Lately again I haven't been able to find populated destinations in the general area.. since we all well know the world is populated more by adults. I was wondering if you guys knew of any populated destinations in the 'general' rating?

Sorry if this doesn't go in this section, I thought it'd fit it though..anyway. Well I joined SL again like a week ago or the week before and already I have nothing to do. I mean I try and find active spots and than look for people, but yet I can't find anything interesting besides shopping for clothing. And I'm quite shy.. so it's rare that i'd get on mic. So any help on good locations with sometimes lots of people? I am sixteen years old and can only go to G rated places.. so people might say like, "Most good spots are mature or adult." I understand since at first it didn't let younger people in, only eighteen and up. Do you know of any G rated places that are active with people?
