  3. In another thread, I was discussing selling directly to merchants as opposed to casual residents, and the topic of selling full perm parts and components came up. Great idea, love it, no clue what to start with. So the best thing to do is just ask, I guess. If you were going to pick up full perm mesh parts on the auction, what would you be interested in? What do you hate building that you wish you could just pick up at market? What have you been looking for ages for, but can't find? (Or if you do find, it's terrible quality?) Thanks for the help! :)
  4. All my marketplace offerings are items that people requested and gave explicit permission for me to re-sell as a merchant, since they have no interest in selling it themselves. My offering to Merchants is built completely custom, ground up, to your design request. Though I have thought about marketing full mod re-sale packs, that'll come at a later date I think.
  5. Who said anything about no transfer rights? Resale contracts are more expensive than personal use contracts, but I include a full-perm copy of the commissioned objects, including the original .DAE files and texture templates so they can alter and change the items later. Each item I build is full custom, and my clients know it because they get progress updates on the model in progress. Classifieds is an option I hadn't thought of. I didn't think anyone used the system or looked at it, but I'll look into it. Thanks.
  6. I'm a freelance Mesh builder. Some of my best customers in the past have been merchants looking for new product to sell, and I'm looking to make deals with new clients now that I'm relying on this as a full-time job. As merchants yourselves, I was hoping you'd have some suggestions on how to best approach the topic. Would it be inappropriate to track a name down through a market listing and make a cold call? (If you happen to be interested yourself, you can see the stuff I've already done in mesh on faux-ink.tumblr.com . Plug plug! XD)
  7. If I attach my debit card to my account as a payment option, can I transfer USD credit from my SL account directly to my bank instead of first sending it to Paypal then to my bank? Searched the knowledge base, didn't get a clear answer.
  8. I'm an experienced mesh builder looking at learning to rig. Are there any good resources for learning how to rig a model and export to SL that start from ground 0?
  9. Taking notes here, believe it or not. I'm looking to start marketing stock and custom meshes, knowing what people want to see is a good advantage. Didn't even think about listing the land impact stats, thanks.
