Grumble and BadKatz used to give out giftcards to their store ALL the time. usually slap boards However BadKatz is unable to do so anymore it looks like :matte-motes-crying: Anyone know of similar stores out there with these types of incentives?

I thought I was able to do this before but now I can't seem to find it in the graphics settings anywhere. I'm using Phoenix

First off I'll state I haven't played much lately at all and this used to work My problem is: When I'm browins the forums or other websites and someone posts a SLurl and you click it and tell it to TP you in game to that location.. I get a message saying my browser is unable to open this location because the protocall(secondlife) isn't associated with any program I remember months ago when I first started you could set a default browser or something to open SLurls. But between now and then I have uninstalled the game completely and I am back in game now and I don't remember it asking me to set the default viewer again.. how do I do this? Thanks :) EDIT: I figured it out. I don't have the orignal viewer installed and so I need to DL that again and then I can change the default viewer from the firefox>options>applications tab :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:

I can move, chat, TP all that good stuff.. but my character is stuck as a cloud.. tried clearing cache and taking off everything.. still no go alts are just fine. Any ideas?

That's what I was affraid of :matte-motes-nerdy: The reason I was curious about selling files for so cheap is because your going to have more success selling things for cheap to a lot of people, instead of selling a higher priced to a few people. And you can reach a ton of more people on the web than you could if you just stick to LL.

I know the second life forums might not be a good spot to ask this.. but you guys seem to know your stuff and I don't really know where to ask this except on Yahoo Answers (which I have yet to get an answer on) Anyways, I was curious about selling files on your own website.. (pictures, your own mp3s that you've made, etc. etc.) I don't want to charge much at all.. was thinking 25 cents per file (depending on what it is) I've been doing research and pretty much have found a way to do all of this. The ONLY problem is, all of the 3rd party processors (paypal, google, etc.) charge 25-40 cents per transaction + around a 2%. So I guess the minimum amount I could sell something for and actually make something would be 50 cents? It's actually not a bad deal if your selling things for at least a $1 But my question is how can you sell stuff on your site for 25 cents? There's got to be a way

The last I played (a few months ago) there was talk they were changing from magic boxes and it would be different to post things up on the marketplace Did this ever happen or is it still the same? Thanks

Hmm a day later and its still not working.. Yes, when I put it on the ground I can finally add the one I've been trying to get to work into it.. However, the chimera then becomes no copy,no modify, no transfer and when I equip it the chimera becomes broken

hmm well ive been trying fora couple hours to get this one dance inside of my Chimera and its still not working. I have some not so good full perm dances.. those go in just fine everytime.. but not the one I paid lindens for now. ='/

I had a chimera but it broke so I got a new one and now the dance that I had in there previously, will not go back in the new one. The perms on the dance are modify, copy, but no transfer. I thought as long as it was copyable it could be placed in chimera because I had it in my previous Chimera and never had an issue. Did something get changed?

How long is this supposed to last? I still can not log in at 8 AM PST.. Weird, cause I just received a group notice to my email ...

Ok I have included a screen shot. I can create an object.. make it flat... but I can't make it realllly wide and reallllly long like the green prim in the picture. The green platform is only 2 prims. I was wanting to try to build a little place in the sky above my property.. but when your up there, how do you tell if its all on your property or overlaying into the neighbors skies? I'm guessing just build a box the size of your property and go into edit and keep sending it straight up?

I just started renting a 512m piece of land.. I have full perms. I have my group tag on.. I rezzed an internet radio, deeded it to the group.. but the play/stop buttons are disabled so Idk what to do. The radio is deeded to the same group in the about land section Any ideas?

Sorry there wasn't any notecards that came with it to tell you how to set it up.. This is my very first piece of land. I surprisingly know how to set the stations up only because I have DJed.. But how do I know what the URL of the radio is that I got on the MP, to put in my about land tab for audio? Thanks in advanced

I'm looking into renting land.. but how do you tell if the land you are interested in will give you the ability to stream your own music to it? I mean, the landlord can just lie and say it has the ability, and then you rent from him and it doesn't.. right? So how do noobs like me be sure that I can stream music? EDIT: In response to replies. I have my own stream that I pay for.. music etc. I know how to stream it via shoutcast board at clubs.. but how does one actually stream music to their own land and set all that up? My friend was renting a skybox.. and she said she didn't have the option to do so like she did when she was a premium member and owned her land

Just curious if when I create a group if everything is editable? Is there anything written in stone when I register the group that I won't be able to change later?

Need someone to do a pic for me, a DJ pic. I know a lil bit about photoshop but I can never seem to get my av into photoshop without it looking blurry or stretched. First off, did they do away with the sports section? I was curious if there is a snowboarding/skiing community anywhere? It's a blast in RL and the scenery is just amazing and the people that you meet at different ski resorts are just great. I'm at a gorgeous region right now, it has a train that takes you around through the town and you can ride the ski lift to the top of the mountain. They even have what looks to be a super jump/long jump ramp at the top. Sad part is there is not a pixel to be found :matte-motes-impatient:

You can sell stuff on the marketplace for free. Just look up a magic box and throw your stuff in it and maybe you can put it on your friends property (if he has any) I make custom gestures and I've had my store open in the MP for a few months now and have maybe sold 6 things so don't feel bad lol. It takes time. On the other hand I googled for a whole day on how to dj and stream into SL and now it's pretty easy for me. Got a couple gigs at some newer places so the money isn't rolling in but hey its a start. But dancing seems to be the easiest thing to do in SL for a lil extra $L. And I'm sure there's places out there that don't require a set n stone schedule. I've actually worked for clubs needing dancers and it's more like if your online great come dance, if not then its no biggie. So I would suggest spending a few dollars to buy some lindens and get to lookin good and then find some places to dance at. Freelance or Clubs. There's always clubs needing dancers on the forums and there are classifieds actually in the game on your viewer that you can browse through also and see an even bigger list Hope that helps some

I have never owned or really rented land before.. I have rented an apartment once tho but not sure that counts lol. Anyways, I heard it's safer to rent land from the mainland so you don't have to worry if your house n what not is still there the next. Where would one find mainland rentals? Seems everything I have found in the land rentals section is private estates/condos/apartments. Is it even possible to rent a piece of land or an empy lot in mainland? If so, how can I filter out the estates, apartments, condos etc etc. And can any of the mainland be rented with the ability to stream your own music on your land? I do a little DJing and would like to sream my own music to my property
