  1. There are lots of great places to visit in the steamlands where you will find random roleplayers or just people who chat "with the accent". Steelhead, Caledon, New Babbage, New Baritaria, Armada Breakaway and many more. Be sure to try to join some of the "roleplayers of...." chat groups, or the citizens groups if you can, but watch out, they can be a bit prickly to newcomers sometimes.
  2. Linden homes are intersting things. I like mine and as a new account holder i picked one up and decorated it. I had a good look around to see what the neighbouring houses were like and introduced myself to those neighbours who actually made appearances. Many houses were empty, or hardly used, but about half had some activity and a third i was able to get in touch with to say hello. I`ve spend much time exploring and peering into the empty houses and a good few seem to be "love nests", contain thrones, adult poseballs and so on. Sometimes that is *all* they contain. I am cool with that personally, its their house after all and its not as if the linden home areas have much activity or through traffic. I agree with the posters above who say that privacy is not assured in second life. So, if you do get some cuddle time, at least make it interesting in case you get an audience!
  3. Meeroo freak me out. People say they are cute but i think there is something creepy about them. I dont have anything against anyone that keeps them though. Different people need a choice of pets and they wont like every type. I do think that the option to make them a non breedable should be much less costly though.
  4. Well, i would say to fight fire with fire. As such, if they are not looking after the land but anyone can build on it......you should go build on it first and put something tasteful there. Need to be pro-active, otherwise more motivated people will beat you to it and this sort of thing happens. Of course, that wont stop other people building on it, but it may well make them less likely to do so, or might fool them into thinking the land is being maintained, so they look elsewhere. Otherwise, i agree with the posters above who suggested you file a ticket about it all and ask the lindens to set an auto return.
  5. A lot of people have real problems with spiders and are genuinely afraid of them, even in virtual terms. I`m not greatly surprised that you got kicked out. You were lucky they didnt splat you with a giant newspaper or somesuch. Spiders, much as some people like them, are high on the list of freak out animals.
  6. *Tries incredibly hard not to be jealous of "newly wealthy demo girl* *fails and then slopes off to get a tattered note from a money tree. Sometimes being clever simply doesnt pay the bills*
