Unstable person is banned from my open community, returns with multiple alts that upset my community with negativity and religious hectoring, alts are banned as soon as we realise (I have 16 people who have banning rights, 50 people who can eject). I also get abusive messages from original member every time she has been in with an alt, saying she will "destroy" my community. Is there a way we can stop alts that are less than one month old from entering without the use of a whitelist orb (impossible with 1800+ members). Thanks for any advice. Hmm, have you tried setting the land to group? If you have a group joining fee, and set the land to group members only, random stalkers are usually weeded out. As they won't want to pay a fee each time. (for DJ's and musicians, performers, etc, you can always manually add them without the fee, so no need to worry about invited guests having problems) I realize this would change the "open" community aspect, but may be worth it, if trouble makers are stopped from harassing members.

  12. kusend wrote: 3mnt translate .sorry ,just give me a job , im noob here Hello Kusend, I think it's great that you want to work in SL. If I may recommend some things: 1) List your work skills here in the forum 2) List your work skills on your profile inworld, along with mentioning that you're looking for work. 3) Look through the other posts here in the "Inworld Employment" section and see if any of the job listings are something you could do, if so contact the person. 4) Many people here on the forum won't click a link to an outside site (you had put in a link that says, "about me") I know I won't click a link here on the forum, as we've had too many scammers post links. (Not saying you're a scammer, but I take no chances) See #1 above on how to overcome this situation. 5) Search inworld for employment too. Go to clubs and businesses, and look around, as many have applications you can reply to. Just know that SL work is similar to RL in that people often want to see examples of what you can do. Also, a lot of SL "work" is really just the person making tips, as most people in SL aren't able to pay someone a RL paycheck. 6) If you're good at creating, make things and list them on the Marketplace. Good luck!

I've tried her beanstalk thing which is still up, but haven't seen her on and haven't gotten a reply back to a message I've sent. Which brings me back to my question: oldest "active" not oldest in general. The oldest SL resident last logged in (with her original account) in mid-December 2013. February of 2014 another S. Sunshine (Account also created in 2002) last logged in. There are also several other accounts from 2003 that logged on in Dec of 2013.
  16. I wouldn't have bothered to make a forum post out of such an insignificant happenstance. Nor, would I have paid any attention to the beach goers feet.
  17. We didn't get in. At least no email as of yet, so I'm guessing none will be forthcoming. I applied the first day the applications were open. I submitted a detailed application, emphasizing the artistic nature of our proposed exhibit. I also clearly explained that even though we're an adult community, our exhibit, and everything we did, would be totally PG. I also explained that we would be very respectful of the community guidelines, and would make every effort to comply with all rules. (I would have even changed my SL profile, to be completely PG during the event) Even though the proposed exhibit was listed as a community one, I had mentioned that it would also be an art endeavor. Then I saw for several weeks the SL10B organizers sending out reminders to say that they *still* needed art exhibitors. But, regardless, I've never heard back from them. I do know that they received my application, as one of the SL10B volunteers looked it up a week or so ago, and told me and several others in the group that our applications had been received. I wonder how many other adult sims and communities applied. Also, if they were accepted? Guess there's no way to find out, but I do find it both sad, and ironic, the SL Birthday celebration which is now hosted by SL residents, does not allow anything but PG material. The focus is more for the artsy community, and the fashion people, and not the part of SL that drives the economy. (adult) Edited to add: I just got an email saying that our exhibit was not accepted. But, I also know that for weeks the SL10B people requested more art exhibits. So...hmm. Maybe they operate on a quota? I doubt I'll apply next year. ( Lesson learned: We're all equal, but some are more equal)

  19. Pamela Galli wrote: I have watched a half dozen or so, tried different seasons. What am I missing? I mean, missing in the show and as a human being? It just seems -- don't hate me -- annoying and silly. I mean, I grew to like Walking Dead, why not Dr. Who? Forget trying to like it. If you've tried, and it just doesn't appeal, then it won't grow on you. You might like the mini-series Torchwood, which was a short spin-off plot. (I actually found all the episodes on Youtube and watched them right after they aired on US television) But, for Sci-fi I highly recommend you locate episodes of Firefly. Nothing to do with the doctor, but there is *a* doctor, amongst the crew. (Follow Firefly with the movie Serenity) (can buy a box set with the shows and the movie I think)
