  1. The freeze/eject ability's are dictated by the World>Nearby Avatars menu (upper edge of Firestorm). Find the one you wish to eject or freeze on the nearby list, right click and a menu should open giving you options.

What you can expect is what the names say. Freeze just "freezes" the avatar in place. It's good if the avatar is running from you and you want it to stop. Eject will boot the avatar from your parcel, but they will land on/in an adjoining area. Double check that you have given yourself the permission to eject others in the groups permission page.

  2. To reiterate what Syo wrote, you don't ever, EVER give out your login info to anyone. They could relay it to someone else and drain your L$'s, empty your inventory and cause general grief, all in YOUR name. You would have absolutely no defense to explain why your avi suffered such problems. LL would just smile and tell you "oops, don't do that again".

If you do find someone who could recreate what you are looking for, expect it to be labor intensive and a large charge to be expected. Perhaps then, they could NC you with the specs and you could make the adjustments accordingly.

    4) SL videos on YouTube are outnumbered by GTA/GMOD vids by about 15:1 (and check out the ratio of likes)

I'm trying to wrap my head around this "statistic".

SL and GTA are two completely different animals, different fruit, DIFFERENT GENRE!

It's similar to the OP comparing cat videos to rebuilding a Chevy big block engine. Of course cats have more vids, it doesn't show Chevy block engines on a decline.

Sony cancelled SL because they don't want to share with anybody.

They keep supporting OpenSim either because they don't count as anybody or because it's so small they overlooked it when they bought Go.

Sony bought out OnLive, the then parent of SL Go. Sony decided to devote the resources provided to SL Go to their Playstation platform

Also, AvSitter is now free, and something almost everyone should learn to use, so there is little reason to use old poseball scripts.

I peeked at MP for Avsitter and found one for 2,999L$. If there is a free one, I'd like the url. It would be great for practice before laying out close to 3kL$.

it's very rare that banned persons gets a reason,

it's just not logical you said LC might have a age limit, because it's a newbfriendly place.

It's also that the OP said he was banned suddenly... a age limit doesn't allow underaged visitors at all.

What he describes here is a manual ejection and ban.

I concur with what you are saying, Alwin. Until the OP tells what the circumstances were (probably won't happen), I went with my initial feeling.

as far i know LC doesn't have a age limit, that;s why it's called noobfriendly, but as i said in the post just above the quote, we seen more of these messages recently that people get banned there for little or no reason. (as far people are telling the cause of the ban)

The OP didn't list a cause, so I ran with a standard answer. If they come back and explain what they were doing, they can get a better explanation.

  8. I prefer click and sit, because it's cleaner, you get a menu to choose a position and more pleasant to the eyes.

Poseballs do have a purpose at clubs. If you want to dance with your partner, who leads?

As far as chairs and couches and beds, yeah, poseballs do seem outdated now.

  9. I would think that you were not banned, per se, but maybe denied access because of your SL age. Some sims deny entry to those who are new. Why? To help cut down on grievers and those who like to cause problems. The typical age limit for entry is usually 30 days.

You didn't describe what you were doing when you were given a boot, so it is difficult to give you a concrete answer.

In the meantime, follow your fiancee around a bit. Check out more of Second Life and when you get to 31 days old, I'll bet you will be allowed back into London City.

Perhaps someone will come along and give you a better answer.

I've recently purchased a stream to attempt to be a DJ, and am currently looking for a job as a DJ at an establishment that doesn't discriminate based on SL account age.

    Welcome to Second Life Chris.

I have to point out that those places that in your words, "discriminate based on SL account age" is due for the most part, to grievers that come and get booted and create another account to come back and continue their shenanigans. It's not against new participants in any way, but a necessary evil. Some places have a 30 day old rule, which I would bet you have encountered. When you hit the magic 31 days old, go back and you'll most likely get in. Dance clubs are particularly hit by those who like to cause grief.

It really isn't you, it's somebody else that caused this practice.

Again welcome. Good luck with your jams.

Lol, good process, being female and all my name is not Bill, I assure you :D

My mom was, and remains, a huge Beatles fan. But the song I'm named after came out over a decade before I was born. She used to sing it to me when I was little.

Hmm, there is Rocky and Prudence too.

This can send this thread so far off topic, the Mods that be may shut it down, as more interesting this discussion is as opposed to the original about anchors.

Onion!, as in "she's my little onion"?

Okay, I'm done. It'll just have to be a later topic down the road. Now back to Anchors, already in progress.

You forgot Lucy, Lizzie, Carol, Pam, Sadie, Rita, Maggie(Mae), Julia, Martha, and a few more I can't remember offhand (I think there's something like 19 total)  lol

But somewhere in the mix, it's there :D

    I stand corrected!

There is Bungalow Bill. I crossed that one off by process of elimination.

Coincidentally a Beatles song was playing the day I was born too...hence my rl name.

    1) Michelle ($$) ?

    2) Penny?

    3) Eleanore.?

    4) Sergeant?

I'm late to this discussion, but I had to ask.

  14. You don't mention how long you have been gone, so I can only go with personal experience.

Perhaps you belong to a group that spreads it's listing costs (or others) among its members. I belonged to one where they would take 5L$ from my account every month. I was fine with that. In your case, maybe your total lindens on hand hit the zero mark and now you are in the negative range. When you replenish your lindens, the -15L$ will be taken from the new total to bring you up to date.

I suggest you check your transaction records on your dashboard to see where the missing lindens went. It should be listed there.

  15. You were not hacked. Apparently SL is experiencing some Log In problems at the moment.

When having problems, it's best to check grid status at the top of the page.

    In short, be patient.
